2023: Power System Presentation

GAGAR > N released the Open Compute Project (OCP) server hardware power system on April 24, 2023. The device is capable of replacing power shelves from leading global IT vendors. 6 3kW power supplies each provide redundant 3 + 3 or 5 + 1 power to the server equipment.

The power system will be supplied as part of the GAGAR > N server cabinet, developed according to the OCP: Open Rack v2 standard - with an internal mounting width increased to 21 ".

The OCP architecture implies its power system configurations, size requirements, and redundancy requirements. The device consists of six power supplies. At the same time, the power supply is quite compact - only 1 OU. Operating temperature range - from 0 to +50ºS.

During the development of the device, GAGAR > N solved several engineering problems. Firstly, due to the high power of the device, its components heat up quickly. Several design techniques were used to remove heat: a special internal layout of power supplies and a well-thought-out route of air flows. Air passes through the hottest elements and cools them effectively.

Secondly, the GAGAR > N team was engaged in reducing pulsations and noise at an output voltage of 12.3 volts. High-quality power is necessary for the stable operation of all equipment that will be installed in the server cabinet.

The power supply system has two independent AC voltage inputs (beams) (380V/220V). Each input is responsible for a separate 3 power supplies. Thanks to this, the device works smoothly. Even if one AC input beam fails, the output power will be provided in the required amount, and the server equipment will continue to work - nothing will threaten the client's data.

Support for devices is carried out in the country, from the moment of purchase to the end of the life cycle of the power system. In case of any external issues on the customer's side, GAGAR > N specialists can quickly go to the facility to resolve the situation

"We are committed to the full technological independence of our server hardware. Therefore, such products as the food system, we develop and produce in-house in Russia. Thanks to this, we know the device "from and to" and can quickly and efficiently refine it according to the customer's requirements, - said Alexander Pyatalov, Technical Manager of GAGAR > N Products.
