2023: Atom VKS Platform Upgrade and Expansion

On May 2, 2023, Greenatom JSC announced that, together with experts from Digital Railway Technologies LLC (TsTZD LLC), it had completed the modernization and expansion of a single videoconferencing platform Atom VKS, created on the basis of a domestic product in the field of unified communications IVA R, for use by all enterprises of the nuclear industry.

According to the company, the Atom VKS video conferencing platform allows you to hold conferences and webinars in real time for all enterprises in the industry. Users have access to the functionality of messaging, video and presentation demonstrations, desktop and documents. Connection is possible both from work PCs and from mobile devices and VKS terminals.

Together, company experts have expanded the technical capabilities of the platform and added functionality. So, the product interface was completely updated, the connection of desktop clients on Windows, MacOS and Astra Linux platforms became available, mobile clients for iOS and Android were updated, and web clients no longer need to use plugins for browsers. In addition, the functionality of simultaneous translation and groups within the event was added, the White Board was updated, and a waiting room appeared.

As of May 2032, more than 400 webinars and 1,200 conferences are held monthly on the Atom VKS platform, and large events are broadcast to the entire industry through the CDN network. To optimize the processes of informing and receiving feedback, an internal industry portal for ordering events and an information channel for the Atom VKS service were created.

One of the focal points of ROSATOM's IT unit is the optimization of existing services. The IVA R product for us is one of those market developments that meets the requirements of the nuclear industry.
