Swed House in Russia prepared the IT infrastructure of a new store in a month

2023: Equipping a store in the Moscow Shchelkovsky shopping and entertainment center

On May 11, 2023, Swed House shared the details of preparations for the opening in the Russian Federation.

The IT project started in mid-March 2023. By the opening, which took place on April 15, 2023 in the Moscow Shchelkovsky shopping and entertainment center, representatives of the SWED HOUSE brand managed to purchase cash registers, prepare a commodity accounting system and integrate it with the cash register, deploy a software cash register module and train personnel.

The SWED HOUSE brand comes from the Republic of Belarus, on the market since 2018. The range of the network includes household goods and furniture from Belarusian and Chinese factories, which previously collaborated with a well-known Swedish brand. For May 2023, SWED HOUSE is developing its own brand, maintaining Swedish style and quality. The company's goods are in great demand in Belarus, now they are also available to Russian buyers.

The opened SWED HOUSE store has 3 cash desks. The most laborious and lengthy stage was the configuration and launch from scratch of the 1C ERP system, the project was supervised by the ARTA company. Set Retail from CSI was chosen as the software solution for the cash desks of the SWED HOUSE store. The installation of equipment and the implementation of the cash program were implemented in 3 days, from the moment of launch the system works without failures. The training of four cashiers took only 15 minutes, employees noted the convenience and high speed of operations at the cash desks. Thanks to the ready-made module from the ARTA company, the integration of the accounting system with the cash desk was carried out instantly, in a couple of clicks.

CSI automated the entire cash line: installed CSI T-II touchscreen all-in-ones POS with a second 10 "customer display, connected 2D manual scanners barcodes CSI Scan Alpha and fiscal recorders. Pirit Set Retail with Centrum topology has been implemented at cash desks: exchange data with ERP and management of cash desks settings have become centralized, which reduces the likelihood of discrepancies and saves time employees. Absence servers from the store reduces costs: there is no need to purchase and maintain additional hardware resources.

Preparations for the opening of the first SWED HOUSE store in Russia were rapid. It was necessary to quickly decide on software for cash registers, and we opted for Set Retail from CSI. Setting up and starting up the ERP system 1C from scratch was supervised by ARTA. The cash desks were made in 3 days, from that moment everything works without failures. On the opening day, when many times more people came than planned, the cash desks were tested "for strength."
