Career

2008-2009

Andrei Burzak in 2008 held the position of head of the Stavropol Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for the Management of Special Economic Zones, in particular, oversaw the project for the development of the special economic zone "Grand Spa-Yuta," which was never implemented. After the reorganization in 2009 of the federal agency, he worked as the Minister of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory, served as deputy chairman of the regional government.

2013

After the then acting head of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirov was dismissed in 2013, Andrei Burzak headed the Interregional Department of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus Federal District, and after its liquidation he worked on the board of directors of the National Aerosol Cluster in Nevinnomyssk.

2023: Appointment as CEO of the Arkhyz ski resort

On May 15, 2023, it was announced that Andrei Burzak was appointed the new general director of the Arkhyz ski resort in Karachay-Cherkessia, Andrei Burzak. The corresponding decision was made by the board of directors of Arkhyz Management Company JSC.

As Interfax reports with reference to the company's statement, earlier Burzak served as Minister of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory, Deputy Prime Minister of the Stavropol Territory, oversaw the development of the economy and resorts of the Kavminvod region.

Arkhyz Resort is an all-season resort in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, located three hours from Mineralnye Vody Airport on the eastern border of the Western Caucasus between the Abishira-Akhub and Gabulu ranges. The total area of ​ ​ the territory is 20 thousand hectares (by May 2023). The resort has 27 kilometers of trails, the slopes of the resort are almost completely equipped with an artificial snowmaking system. Eight cable cars operate.[1]
