On June 5, 2023, it became known that the Russian company Mobile Inform Group (MIG) has developed a compact Akinak desktop computer, which is based on a domestic processor, motherboard and operating system.
According to CNews, the PC is equipped with a Skif chip developed by the Electronic Computing and Information Systems Research and Production Center (Elvis SPC JSC). This processor combines four Arm Cortex-A53 computing cores up to 1.8 GHz, a PowerVR GE8300 graphics unit, and a dual-core ELcore-50 DSP cluster with hardware support for signal processing functions, artificial intelligence algorithms and encryption.
The equipment of the Akinak system unit includes 8 GB of RAM LPDDR4 expandable up to 64 GB, an eMMS 5.1 flash module with a capacity of 32 GB and a slot for a microSD card (up to 32 GB).
