2023: Opening of stations in Moscow

Startup Swapery (part of the "" TechnoSpark group) on June 23, 2023, announced the discovery mass battery charging stations electroscooters of electric bicycles and began to provide charging services for sharing operators.

Swapery stations have already been installed in the South-West, Novomoskovsk and North-West administrative districts, in Govorovo and Shchukino, and in the next 3 years a distributed network of 200 charging stations will be created throughout Moscow. As of June 2023, the business scheme is as follows: an employee of the operator's technical service collects discharged batteries and brings them to the installation site of the charging station. Using remote access, it opens the cabinet, leaves the discharged and picks up the charged batteries, and then installs them on scooters or e-bikes in the station area.

This network of charging stations is open for cooperation with all kicksharing operators and other companies with a large fleet of electric scooters and e-bikes, for example, courier services. Thanks to this service, the average replacement time for one battery, taking into account logistics, is reduced to 3-4 hours to 30 minutes, operators can refuse transportation by road, and the number of replaceable batteries is reduced by a third due to the acceleration of their turnover. As the number of discharged vehicles decreases, the average number of trips on a scooter increases by 10%. Thus, the use of the Swapery network reduces the costs of operators by up to 50%.

We all see that every day there are more scooters on the streets, but there are often cases when it is impossible to use them - batteries are discharged. The goal of our companies is to create the first independent charging infrastructure in Moscow, eliminate the emerging imbalance and increase the efficiency of kicksharing operators, - Operating Director of Swapery Andrei Kotseruba.

The number of users of individual mobility tools Russia is growing. According to the data, by Department of Transport of Moscow the summer of 2022, there were up to 35 thousand electric scooters in the capital's kicksharing park. This is the largest park in. To Europe In second place - Berlin 25 thousand, in third - Rome about 15 thousand pieces. In Moscow, 80% of trips on the "transport last mile" are on routes to the office, cafe, metro or. gym

Consulting company B1 (formerly EY) predicts that in 2025-2026 the revenue of market players will grow by an average of 60% per year and will reach 95.7 billion rubles. Analysts explain the dynamics of the growth in the number of users and trips: in the next four years, the number of active users will increase from 10 million in 2021 to 28 million in 2024, and in 2026 will reach 34 million people. Driving will also become more frequent: if in 2021 an active user had an average of 5.5 trips per year, then in 2024 there will be already 13.6, and in 2026 - 16.3.

The Swapery service will make it possible to online record all actions of the operator's technical service employees with batteries and the state of the batteries being charged through the web interface. All information (log) about the charge - discharge is transmitted to the operator's server. It is worth noting that a separate employee is not required to issue and receive batteries: all operations with the station are carried out by an employee changing batteries in scooters. Swapery stations do not assume manual scanning of the QR codes of the batteries being handed over - NFC readers automatically record the battery ID.

Startup Swapery is an operator of mass charging stations for batteries of personal mobility equipment. The company selects locations suitable for all parameters and installs charging stations, as well as monitors their operating parameters.
