2023: Develop IT Landscape Localization Strategy

On June 23, 2023, Axenix announced the completion of the IT landscape localization strategy of the logistics company RULOG (formerly known as HAVI). The project analyzed the current and target state of the IT architecture and infrastructure, proposed options for replacing existing information systems, implemented migration to the local cloud platform and Russian solutions.

As reported, one of the features of the project was that the Russian division of RULOG did not have documentation for the information systems used, as they were part of the global IT infrastructure. To gather the necessary information, Axenix conducted many in-depth interviews with business and IT teams, and then developed system descriptions, their interaction structure and solution options.

During the survey of the RULOG infrastructure, it became clear that half of all IPs "close" almost 90% of business processes, and it was on them that the main emphasis was placed. Not for all software it was easy to choose analogues. We painstakingly compared solutions for the completeness of coverage of functional and non-functional requirements, architecture parameters and vendor reliability. As part of the second stage of the project, specific solutions were selected from the proposed options, a detailed transformation plan was formulated and implemented. It included the migration of data and information systems from the global cloud to the Russian platform, the deployment of the network, the replacement of office, communication and other work services with local solutions, and ensuring the information security of the updated IT infrastructure. Thus, the cloud infrastructure is implemented on the Yandex Cloud platform, Microsoft office and communication services have been replaced with Yandex 360 solutions.

The main work was completed at the end of 2022. In June 2023, the configuration of user devices and training of RULOG employees in working with services ends. The Axenix team will support the local IT infrastructure.
