Biography

Dmitry Smilevski was born in Moscow into a ballet family. His grandmother and parents are also ballet dancers.

In 2019 he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (class of Mikhail Sharkov) and was admitted to the Bolshoi Ballet Troupe.

He received the Grand Prix of the IV All-Russian competition of young performers "Russian Ballet" (Moscow, 2019).

At the end of the 2021-22 season, he was elevated to the rank of first soloist.

He received the I Prize (senior group, soloists) of the XIV International Ballet Competition in Moscow, 2022.

In 2023 - to the rank of leading soloist, in the same year - to the rank of prime minister. Rehearses under the direction of Andrei Bolotin.

For several years, Smilevski performed key parts in the most famous classical and modern ballets from the theater's repertoire - in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Coppelia, Jewels, Winter's Tale and many others.
