UEC enterprises began to use the network to share knowledge on helicopter engine programs

2023: Implementation of a knowledge sharing information system for helicopter engine programs VK-650V, VK-1600V and VK-2500

On the basis Moscow Machine-Building Enterprise named after V.V. Chernyshev (included in), United Engine Corporation Rostec an information system has been introduced for the exchange of knowledge on helicopter engine programs VK-650V, VK-1600V and VK-2500. On one portal, project groups will have access to technical documentation, will be able to exchange experience and discuss online with colleagues possible solutions to different problems. Such interaction will help speed up work on power plants. This was reported in July 2023 in the UEC.

The working group included representatives of enterprises that are part of cooperation under the programs of helicopter engines VK-650V, VK-1600V and VK-2500: MMP named after V.V. Chernyshev, St. Petersburg enterprise UEC-Klimov, Ufa UEC-UMPO, Perm UEC-STAR and Naro-Fominsk Machine-Building Plant (NFMZ). The project is supervised by Igor Steshenko, Deputy Managing Director - Technical Director of the Chernyshev MMP, and Andrey Melekhin, Deputy General Designer, Head of OKB UEC-Klimov.

When working on the project, the participants developed and approved the interface of professional communities in the knowledge management information system (ICSS) and the list of documentation issued under the programs of helicopter aircraft engines VK-650V, VK-1600V and VK-2500. All materials will be placed in thematic groups in ISUZ. Based on the results of pilot operation, the basic rules for the functioning of workspaces and the interaction of participants in cooperative enterprises were formulated.

At the St. Petersburg enterprise UEC-Klimov, a provision has already been introduced on professional communities and the exchange of knowledge based on the results of the implementation of this project. The remaining participants in cooperation and UEC units will introduce a position within the framework of program management.

In the near future, the MMP company named after V.V. Chernyshev will approve the standard "Knowledge Management." One of its sections focuses on professional communities. After the introduction of such a standard, active work will begin with the space in the ISUZ for the helicopter engine VK-650V.

The launch of professional communities into commercial operation allows you to switch to a qualitatively new level of interaction between participants in the work. We bring together specialists on a single virtual platform, where we can implement brainstorming, exchange of views, joint study of projects and emerging issues, and preserve the history of decision-making. It also simplifies access to information of direct performers and reduces the time for its search thanks to a single archive of all participants in cooperation under this program, - said the project manager, head of the innovative development bureau Yevgeny Minenko.

The knowledge management information system of UEC ISUZ allows any specialist to post developed methods, work with these materials in the public domain, express his opinion, share experience. From this, a formalized document is subsequently born, which is accepted by the community of experts - specialists in the field. The formalization of knowledge is the transformation of knowledge in the heads of experts into something that can be read and conveyed.
