2023: Robot Implementation
Yandex.Market has developed and implemented Spectro inventory robots. According to the press service of the company in July 2023, three systems were installed in a logistics center in Sofyina near Moscow.
Prior to that, the service tested several different versions of the robot for about a year, which were inventoried in a pallet warehouse with goods. During this time, the Yandex.Market team taught Spectro to distinguish tags on pallets with 100% accuracy, inventory the entire full-flight storage area in 1.5 hours and repeat it three times a day. For comparison, a team of five takes about four weeks to make one inventory: the robot copes with this 450-500 times faster. And when scanned, he finds discrepancies with consistently high accuracy - for example, he identifies goods that are stored out of place. Over a month, the robot detects more than 300 discrepancies.
After a successful test, Yandex.Market decided to use several Spectro robots and entrust them with a new task. Now they inventory not only pallets, but also all large goods. This reduces marketplace costs for storing goods in warehouses, improves logistics and frees people from monotonous tasks - they will be able to engage in more complex and interesting tasks.
Robots are being created and tested in a robotic center that Market opened in May 2023. To make the landfill look like a marketplace warehouse, a metal structure weighing 17 tons with racks with which robots learn to interact was placed in it. The area of the center is 1000 square meters. m.
By July 2023, Yandex.Market sells goods from approximately 52.9 thousand partner stores. More than 75.3 million goods are presented on the marketplace.
