2024: Launch of conveyor equipment at the distribution center in the village of Beliy Rast

On June 7, 2024, KORUS Consulting Group announced the launch of conveyor equipment at the Galamarta distribution center in the village of Beliy Rast Moskovskoy region. The warehouse serves retail locations of the chain and customers in the Central and Northwestern Federal Districts. On a conveyor with a length of 460 meters, small-scale goods will be assembled for sale in retail and on Internet sites, as well as for small wholesalers. The launch of the line will free up some of the personnel and recruit up to 400 orders per hour.

As reported, Galamart is a federal retailer that offers household goods, auto goods, household chemicals and much more. As of June 2024, the chain has more than 500 outlets throughout Russia. The company supports a partner franchise and co-branding partner networks, and brand products, in addition to their own and partner trading platforms, are presented on marketplaces.

Galamart sells orders consisting of small-scale goods using three channels: chain outlets (as part of replenishment of inventories), small wholesalers and marketplaces. For June 2024, each order is collected by one employee. This can take up to half an hour: at the Bely Rast RC, the area of ​ ​ which is more than 72 thousand square meters. meters, more than 7,000 commodity items are stored. To optimize the packaging of orders, the retailer decided to launch conveyor equipment on the mezzanine. This allows you to change the principle of assembly of orders, increase the number of goods shipped and free up some of the personnel.

To integrate conveyor assembly into all technological chains in the warehouse, Galamart turned to KORUS Consulting, with which it has implemented four diverse projects since 2021. In 2021, IT company specialists introduced WMS Manhattan SCALE at a warehouse in Tomilino, Moscow Region, and helped launch the first network darkstore based on WMS Manhattan in Zelenograd. In 2023, the KORUS Consulting team automated the Galamarta operating loop and management accounting on the basis of 1C:ERP Enterprise Management. The system made it possible to combine the processes of the main divisions in Russia and China within a single platform. In addition, when the retailer modernized its IT infrastructure in connection with digital transformations in business, KORUS Consulting organized comprehensive supplies of storage equipment, server and network equipment, as well as software in the face of sanctions and changed supply chains.

The retailer plans to organize the assembly of orders on the line in stages. The conveyor is divided into six sections, each of which has a picker. When the order box moves from one area to another, the warehouse employee removes it from the conveyor and supplements it with the goods that are in its section, and then returns it to the tape. This approach reduces the movement of employees in the warehouse. In addition, the launch of the pipeline will reduce the need for pickers - in the context of a shortage of personnel in warehouses and growing personnel wages, this is of particular importance.

In addition, the mechanization of picking orders will help make the work of pickers safer: for June 2024, they move around the warehouse together with employees who perform other tasks and equipment, and when working on the line, pickers will move more freely along the mezzanine.

In order to establish data exchange between the WMS and the WCS (Warehouse Control System) pipeline control system, KORUS Consulting specialists have created a solution that works as an "intermediary" between systems and avoids modifications to the WMS code. Thanks to this, it was possible to reduce the testing time and was provided independence of systems from each other - the risk of stopping one of them in the event of a shutdown was minimized.

In parallel, Galamart, relying on the recommendations of KORUS Consulting consultants, set up the warehouse system so that it takes into account the updated approach to the selection of goods - the principles of automatic formation of selection and replenishment tasks, the rules for finding replenishment cells and the rules for reserving orders have changed. The solution developed by KORUS Consulting will allow the retailer to additionally complete up to 400 orders per hour. Mechanization of the assembly of orders will give Galamart the opportunity to develop the e-commerce segment and a network of small wholesalers.

During the work on the project, we established productive interaction with the Galamart team and colleagues took an active part in creating the solution. Thanks to this, we managed to develop a system with a large margin of safety - the solution has optimal performance and has the potential to expand functionality. For example, in the future, it will be possible to perform good order on the conveyor, whose assembly began in floor racks, pack and tag the order, as well as change the logic of checks and control along the movement of transport units.

2023: Implementation of "1C:ERP Enterprise Management 2.5"

On November 1, 2023, KORUS Consulting announced that it had automated the operating loop and management accounting in the Galamart retail network on the basis of 1C:ERP Enterprise Management. The system, which became the core of the company's IT landscape, covered commodity movement and logistics operations and helped to combine the processes of the main divisions in Russia and China within a single platform.

As reported, external changes in logistics did not bypass Galamart, but the company was ready for many calls. The network began transforming its supply chain in advance: it automated and launched warehouses, rebuilt logistics infrastructure and was able to quickly establish supplies of goods from China. In parallel, the company changed sales channels: opened stores with fixed prices and hard discounters, increased its online presence, launched brands and STM.

Earlier, together with the KORUS Consulting team, Galamart has already done several projects - the implementation of WMS Manhattan, updating and supporting IT infrastructure. After the modernization of logistics, it became clear that a comprehensive restructuring of the IT landscape was required, which at that time included 16 accounting systems. The main solution for commodity movement is outdated, in addition, due to the fragmentation of existing IT products, difficulties arose in integrating with the logistics system. Management decided to implement a single platform that will allow it to scale quickly and adapt to change.

KORUS Consulting has implemented 1C:ERP Enterprise Management 2.5. The system covered key business processes: pricing, Russian and import purchases, certification, labeling, commodity movement, wholesale sales, claims work, intercampany (automation of sales between legal entities of the company), cost calculation, management of the Central Information Service. Complex functionality related to import specifics and internal logistics of the network is implemented. To integrate with e-commerce sites and marketplaces, specialists have automated the processes of fulfillment, reservation and delivery.

1CERP":" replaced the operation of five accounting systems, helped to get rid of various microservices and unclaimed functionality. The company's divisions in Russia and China now operate in a single digital environment, which optimizes. business processes IT specialists have completed many integrations of "1C:ERP" with other solutions of the company - both on the basis of "1C" and other vendors. 2022: Automation of Operational Loop and Management Accounting

One of the tasks of Galamart is to eliminate the disparity of the accumulated IT solutions over time. For example, the 1C: Trade and Warehouse of 7.7 software is used to manage key processes, and the 1C: Trade Management system carries out procurement processes. In addition, the company has many different configurations and versions of 1C software products. Maintaining and developing a large number of systems was becoming more and more difficult, while some solutions were outdated and began to limit business in development.

The project of automation of the operational circuit and management accounting on the basis of "1C:ERP" began in April 2022. As of August 2023, specialists are preparing the system for launch.

The introduction of the new platform will also solve the problem of optimizing the costs associated with supporting many IT solutions. So, "1C:ERP" will replace the work of five accounting systems. There will be fewer software integrations, and for those that remain, IT specialists have redesigned the architecture - made it unified. Irrelevant processes and unclaimed functionality will become a thing of the past.

1C:ERP will become the core of the IT landscape, help ensure the development of processes in other systems. Most importantly, the company will have a single accounting digital environment, which makes it possible to develop the business at the pace that modern retail requires.

The new system covered many processes: pricing, procurement, certification, labeling, commodity movement, wholesale, retail filling, claim work, cost calculation, TsSI management. To integrate with e-commerce and marketplaces, fulfillment, reservation, delivery processes were automated.
