2023: Launch of gas station networks
The transport company Avto-PEK, which is part of the group of the multi-service logistics operator PEK, entered the gas station market. By August 18, 2023, the network has four own and six partner gas stations for trucks.
By the end of 2023, the company plans to expand it to 16 gas stations throughout the country. Due to this, Avto-PEK expects to reduce fuel costs by 5-20% depending on the season.
The network of its own gas stations, two of which are located in Moscow and one each in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk, will be replenished with a new station in Yekaterinburg. Five more will be added to the eleven partner gas stations located in Omsk, as well as the cities of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
Avto-PEK is scaling up its gas station network to optimize fuel costs, explains Dmitry Ievlev, General Director of Avto-PEK. According to him, in May-July 2023, the retail price of the diesel rose to 57 rubles per liter, which is 16% higher than wholesale. Taking into account the fact that the share of fuel in the cost of transportation is 35%, the expenses of companies have increased significantly.
If the partner is new, Avto-PEK acquires a trial batch and sends it for research to the laboratory to find out the composition and determine how much fuel meets the standards.
Each new gas station "Auto-PEK" connects to its own fuel card "With us on the way." With its help, carriers can track information on the cost of fuel and the load of gas stations in their personal account.
Already, the Avto-PEK gas station network covers more than 5 thousand km. roads throughout Russia. Refueling at our stations, the transport company can deliver cargo from St. Petersburg to Krasnoyarsk. In order to prevent further growth in the cost of transportation, we will continue to develop a network of gas stations. The task is to cover all of Russia with gas stations so that every 600-800 km the car can drive to our or partner site, "said Dmitry Ievlev, General Director of Avto-PEK, in August 2023.[1] |
