2023: Product Announcement
Yandex Market has developed a Dilectus warehouse robot that can take boxes of goods from racks from the storage area in the warehouse, move them to the picking area and back. The company spoke about this technology on August 21, 2023.
According to the developers, the robot is capable of lifting loads weighing up to 35 kg and transporting up to 9 boxes at a time. It will help people work in a warehouse - employees will no longer have to spend time looking for goods and moving them. They will be able to focus on assembling orders in the picking area, which will simplify and speed up their work.
Dilectus is equipped with a grip mechanism ("graber"), which allows it to remove not only the nearest boxes from the shelves, but also those that lie behind them. Thanks to this, you can place more goods on the racks and not worry that the robot will not reach all the boxes.
In addition to Dilectus, Market already has two models of warehouse robots of its own design. This is a Spectro inventory, scanning pallets of goods, as well as Motus, which moves heavy loads. The release of the third robot is another step towards the implementation of the goods to person approach. This is the concept of an automated warehouse: instead of walking around the room, the employee is in one place and can better concentrate on assembling orders, and the goods are brought to him by a robot. Market will continue to develop such an approach to reduce the cost of storing goods in warehouses and free people from tasks that can be assigned to robots. As a result of this approach, employees will be able to engage in more interesting work in the warehouse.
The Market team has already tested a new robot at the roboticsYandex center, "" and now checks it in action in one of the service's darkstors. Later, the developers will begin testing Dilectus in a specially allocated zone in the largest logistics complex "Market" in Sofyina near Moscow.[1]
