The space-rocket center starts Vertical

The TsSKB-Progress State Research and Production Space-rocket Center (SRPSRC) unrolled a complex of works on automation of technology preparation of production. Integrator in the project ASCON-Samara company. System implementation of automated design of technology processes (TP CAD) Vertical in machine-assembling workshops of the main production and in workshop of instrument production is performed.

In anticipation of about requirements

In 2009 the decision on automation of the technology divisions "TsSKB-Progress" was made. Nikolay Petrov, the head of department of automation of development of technology documentation, commented on the choice of IT solution: "When choosing a CAD of technology processes we recognized what a system should meet to a number of requirements: existence of the network version, ensuring access to corporate databases and reference books, ability to integrate into a common information space of the enterprise, scope of all types of production".

The head of department of IT GNPRKTS "TsSKB-Progress" Alexander Filatov emphasized: "Existence at the enterprises, similar to ours, a domestic automated design engineering system and ability in it to work – is extremely important and relevant".

Solutions of Ascon take an important place in IT infrastructure "TsSKB-Progress": development of design documentation on the products released by the enterprise mainly is conducted in the Compass-3D system, the electronic archive of design documentation is organized on the basis of a system "the Pilot: PLM".

Expectations

Full-scale implementation of a CAD of TP "Vertical", as expected, will allow a leader of the space-rocket industry to automate development of route technology processes for solving of tasks of production planning and to close a chain of formation and movement of technology information.

As a result

Specialists of Ascon Samara develop the specialized modules allowing to increase performance of work of technologists at the solution of a number of problems of process design (the module of automatic formation of the control chart on final transactions, the module of formation of the summary sheet of regulations of time, etc.).

During the project export of data on means of technology equipment of machine-assembling production to the Vertical database from systems which are earlier used at the enterprise is executed.

The integration mechanism Vertical with the Windchill PDM system and a resource management system of the enterprise of own development allowing all participants of technology preparation of production to work in a common information space is implemented and tested, solving problems of design and production of special means of technology equipment.
