2022: How to maintain batch accounting at production with the help of "Kleverens": the experience of the company "Vacuum"

What does the polymer film consist of? Lavsan, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, ethylene vinyl alcohol - in several layers of different thickness. What is it used for? There are several applications: greenhouse agriculture, construction, lamination of cardboard, furniture production and others.

Since 2004, Vakumpak-M has been manufacturing bags for packaging in a modified gas environment - for food products, vacuum shrink bags, vacuum bags for heat treatment (sterilization, pasteurization, cooking, baking). And it is one of the leading suppliers of polymer film products in Russia.

The data on commodity values, raw materials, finished products and shipments of wholesale batches of goods were always manually recorded by employees of Vacuum-M in 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 11.4. This process was periodically accompanied by re-transfer and complaints from customers. And it was almost impossible to determine who exactly (what production shift) made a mistake.

Tasks

Warehouse is one of the most important divisions of any production company. Even if the finished products almost immediately go to the buyer, you need not only to keep records of quantitative balances, but also to record movements, write-offs, rejects. This will allow you to know how much and what is in stock at any time.

"We needed something that would make it possible to keep records of finished products in stock from the moment of release until shipment. So that storekeepers can know exactly what, when, in what quantity they produced and transferred to the warehouse, the batch number, the date of shipment to the buyer. We also wanted to abandon manual data entry 1C and automate work using touch coding and shipping documentation

.

The volumes of our production are large - about five hundred thousand units per month. And in the fall and winter - at the height of the season - about one and a half million. With such a number of finished products in stock, accounting errors and when issuing orders increased multiply. In addition, we wanted to organize targeted storage, "said Yulia Pyatugina, financial manager of Vakumpak-M,

Decision

Mobile automation most often begins with a reluctance to be constantly "tied to wires." Scanning the barcode is several times easier than constantly manually entering the name, batch, batch of the product into 1C. Large warehouses or production require the use of automation tools more than others, since employees spend the lion's share of their working time moving around the enterprise from rack to computer.

"We now use a stationary barcode scanner very rarely - only for verification. Data collection terminals are much more convenient in this regard. Therefore, we were looking for suitable software for shipping documentation: not just to give the storekeepers an additional toy, but to simplify

the work.

Our 1C specialist advised to implement 'Warehouse 15'. We posted an ad on the forum that we are looking for an integrator. Specialists of Universal Systems Studio, a partner of the software developer, responded to our request, "Julia shared her working moments.

There are now 6 terminals in operation at the Vakumpak-M warehouse. After the address storage system is implemented, the owner plans to expand the shipping documentation fleet. At the moment, 2 processes are fully automated: accounting for the release of products from production and acceptance of finished goods into the warehouse.

"We have an internal bar coding system. Thus, we can pinpoint losses during the production or movement stage and clearly see what was not fully manufactured. Plus, earlier storekeepers made many mistakes due to the fact that all data was entered into the documents manually. Now there is

no such thing

.

During the implementation process, we encountered many different minor problems:

  • the result of the barcode reading was dependent on the regional settings of the particular shipping documentation,
  • incorrect initially construction of the accounting process - I had to rebuild the same process several times, '- said the financial manager of Vakumpak-M about small difficulties.

Results

Before choosing equipment for mobile automation, decide which tasks you want to solve with its help: is the shipping documentation needed to collect orders, conduct inventory, work with labeled products? The choice of terminal model will also depend on the place of use - warehouse, production, store. And do not forget about specialized software - it raises many times more questions.

"Storekeepers are very happy. It is said that it has become much easier to work with 'Cloverens'. We managed to completely eliminate mistakes - we can say that for this we did everything. And if earlier finished products from production were taken to the warehouse within 5 hours, now we are coping with this in just 40

minutes.

Universal Systems Studio specialists conducted full training for storekeepers. And the program settings they made showed that 'Warehouse 15' is very simple and convenient software. With it, you can perform many different operations. We are still looking at all the functionality - we have not yet decided whether we will use it fully, first we need to switch to address storage, "summed up the financial manager of Vakumpak-M.
