To Bakhetla migrates with Sun on IBM

Content

In October, 2010 it became known that the IBS company will perform maintenance of a corporate information system of Bakhetle. The retail network of supermarkets transferred service functions of the system created based on technologies of SAP (implementation was performed by NORBIT company), to specialists of the Service center IBS for support of business applications.

The Bakhetle supermarket chain is provided in Moscow, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk. In 2008 Bakhetle for business process automation of 16 shops of network and the central office in Kazan implemented a corporate information system on the SAP platform. In this project the IBS company implemented an infrastructure part.

Specialists of IBS provided in Bakhetla SAP Basis support (applications SAP ERP and SAP BI), remote administration of a corporate system, pro-active monitoring, elimination of problems in system operation, user support and rendering necessary consultations to them.

Considering the fact that technical support of infrastructure on which SAP solutions are deployed, on the basis of the long-term contract specialists of IBS also perform, to Bakhetla receives all complex of services and a uniform point of responsibility for operability of the system.

2013: Replacement of the computing platform

On November 25, 2013 the IBS group and Bakhetle trade production company announced a successful completion of migration of a corporate information system of Bakhetle on the SAP platform on new computing infrastructure. The cycle of works of migration - from delivery and installation of the equipment, before start and stress testing of a system is executed, at the same time during the project the continuity of a company performance is provided.

Project Tasks

In 2010 the service center of support of business applications of IBS accepted the implemented system on service maintenance and now provides all complex of services, necessary for the systems of such class, in the mode of "one window", beginning from ensuring operability of a hardware-software complex of SAP and finishing with user support.

From the moment of implementing solutions of SAP the retail chain stores of Bakhetle grew more than twice, and the volume of the processed data is measured by tens terabyte that, in turn, resulted in need to increase in power and reliability of computing resources of the used hardware and software system.

Project Progress

Specialists the service center of support of business applications of IBS performed all complex of works on heterogeneous migration from a hardware platform of SUN on the basis of Solaris OS on the equipment of IBM running AIX OS. In data center of Bakhetle the modern computer system of IBM is delivered and installed, the system software is set, data transfer is executed, application servers of SAP are installed and started, stress testing and the subsequent optimization of all parameters of a complex is held.

IBS assumed overall responsibility for implementation of this project, and could fulfill the obligations completely. Involvement of the uniform professional supplier on all questions connected with operability of SAP allows us to reduce risks and to increase reliability of functioning of IT systems".
