Emergency transition to "1C." The Moskvich plant migrated to Russian software from the systems from which Renault "chopped off" it

Customers: Moskvich (formerly Renault Russie)

Moscow; Trade

Project date: 2022/09  - 2023/02

At the demodna of the industrial competence center (ICK) "Automotive" in September 2023, the IT director of the automaker "MAZ Moskvich" (formerly Renault Russia) Pavel Lisin spoke about how the company had to switch to Russian software in a short time - to 1C, as a basic platform. One of the features of the project is that at some point the former shareholder of the company - Renault - disconnected his former Russian division from all its IT systems that were hosted abroad.

MAZ Moskvich began import substitution in 2022 after a shareholder changed in the company in May - Renault transferred its Russian assets to the state and the Moscow government, and Renault Russia was renamed Moskvich Moscow Automobile Plant JSC. Then the Moscow authorities gained control over the company's plant and announced the resumption of production of Moskvich cars.

As of May 2022, the company had a very high level of use of foreign IT solutions: there were about 300 systems, and most of them were hosted on foreign sites, said Pavel Lisin. Also, part of the infrastructure was outside the Russian Federation.

From the presentation of Pavel Lisin

The Russian division was integrated into the global corporate life cycle of the previous shareholder, and there were high costs for the support and development of information systems.

After Renault left Russia, against the background of geopolitical events, all production stood up. In 2022, the new shareholders set the task for the Moskvich plant, first of all, to restore the financial and economic activities of the enterprise - to launch production and the conveyor. It was also required to ensure the technological independence of the equipment. The company immediately decided that Russian software should be used. At the same time, there were some restrictions on the start of the project - the minimum product was required to be released within a period of about one year, and the project was implemented with a limited budget.

The choice fell on the 1C vendor, with whom an agreement was concluded in September 2022, and a technological partner, Prof-IT, was also chosen.

MAZ Moskvich chose a three-phase strategy. In the first phase, basic 1C modules were implemented, including the financial system. In parallel, the company worked in two systems - old and new.

At the end of December last year, we faced a situation where the old shareholders disconnected all systems for us, and therefore we had a very intense New Year. Thanks to the business, thanks to IT - we got all the New Year holidays in work.

The company previously said that even the equipment that was at the plant was disconnected from the software, and it was necessary to restore it bit by bit, replacing the domestic software, making its own software. Even simple robots all worked on software control, which was integrated into Renault[1].

Having implemented 1C in a short time, the company closed fiscal year 2022 in a new system. The IT infrastructure has been completely moved to its site, now MAZ Moskvich does not depend on anyone in this regard. Also made user authorization, mail service, etc.

As of September 2023, the project has not been completed - it is yet to introduce quality functionality, ToiR, TMS, holding management. The next stage is the PDM of the system, the supplier portal, the manager portal, as well as the analytics on "1C."
