2023: Scaling IT Infrastructure

The X-Com Group of Companies on October 13, 2023 announced that it had scaled the IT infrastructure of the St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University (SPbGMTU).

In recent years, St. Petersburg State Technical University has been using the methodology of flexible design of training programs, which allows you to quickly respond to the needs of the industrial partner market. University graduates have knowledge and competencies in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, modeling elements and processes of cyberphysical systems, artificial intelligence technologies, smart systems and Internet of Things systems.

The project required the creation of a technological base for the development of existing and launch of new educational programs. X-Com engineers conducted an audit of the university's information system and analyzed the requirements of the software used in the educational process for client systems. As a result, a technical design was developed, including a set of recommendations for the composition of the equipment and its detailed specification.

The customer was offered computers their own production of X-Com. The set of computers includes monitors ASUS VA24EQSB with TÜV Rheinland technologies that protect the vision of users by eliminating flickering and reducing the blue effect of the backlight.

For a visual demonstration in various views of block diagrams, drawings, 3D models and other visual materials, Optoma interactive boards 5652RK a diagonal of 65 'are installed in the classrooms. The Creative Board application provides easy interaction between the teacher and the audience and the ability to broadcast content from external devices through a cable or wireless connection. Work with printed teaching materials is provided by MFP Canon i-SENSYS MF 453sw.

All equipment is connected to the network through the B-Link DGS-1520-28MP switch and is included in the information system of the university. The project was completed in full compliance with the contractual conditions in terms of scope and terms. X-Com provides service and technical support for the solution.
