2023: Development of ACS for passenger traffic and information

Sitronics Group has developed automatic passenger metering and information systems for regular electric ship routes in Moscow. The company announced this on October 31, 2023.

The company has created and implemented solutions for managing passenger traffic and auto-informing regular electric ship routes on the Moscow River.

Electric power vehicles carry passengers on two routes "Kievsky" - "Heart of the capital" and "ZIL - Pechatniki." Sitronics Group not only completed the project for the development and production of electric ships, but also provided the route with IT systems and equipment for passenger traffic control and auto-information.

The creation of a software and hardware complex for floating berths and ships was necessary to control the excess of the number of passengers and automate the processes of passenger transportation by river transport.

The system makes it possible to exclude the excess of the number of passengers on ships, passage through the turnstile and payment for travel before mooring the ship. The electric system of regular routes can accommodate up to 50 passengers, and the berths - from 40 to 80 people, depending on the diameter. The system takes into account how many people went to the ship, as well as to the pier to wait for the arrival of transport. All objects are equipped with automated passenger counting sensors with human recognition. If the number of passengers approaches the maximum, the entrance turnstiles to the pier and to the ship are blocked. If someone comes out, access is reopened before filling in or before the ship's captain gives the command to complete the landing.

Also, each vessel is equipped with a specially designed system with an interface for the captain, in which he selects a berth and indicates the beginning of disembarkation and boarding of passengers. The complex system works in such a way that the turnstiles remain blocked until the start of landing.

The passenger traffic management solution is integrated with the systems of the Department of Transport and the development of the road transport infrastructure of the city of Moscow and allows you to transfer the necessary information about the number of passengers to the data center and the system for informing passengers with data on the schedule of ships in the online format.

We were faced with the task of developing an automatic system that ensures safety and comfort on berths and ships with optimal loading. And for the convenience of residents and guests of the capital, we have introduced functionality connected to the Unified Passenger Information System in Moscow. The information panels display the current schedule, time of arrival and departure, ensure the withdrawal of content from the media center, "said Nikolai Pozhidaev, President of Sitronics Group.

Passengers can find out the time of departure of electric ships and follow their movement in the Moscow Transport application. It provides information on schedules, stops, travel times and possible transfers. Also, the schedule and forecast of the arrival of electric ships is taken into account when building any routes using the Yandex.Maps service.

In total, under the contract between the Government of Moscow and JSC Vodokhod Passazhirsky Port, the construction of 21 vessels and 23 berths is envisaged. The contract for servicing river traffic in the capital was concluded for a period of 15 years.
