2023: Advanced Server Administration Tools
The company, a GAGAR>N manufacturer Russian server of equipment software and full-cycle, introduced an updated version of the EMS (Element Management System), designed for management and monitoring, on November 3, 2023. IT infrastructures In the updated release of the system, the administration tools have been improved, servers the functionality for remote deployment on the family servers has appeared OS Linux and the detail of messages about the state of infrastructure objects has increased. Custom documentation is now available directly from the solution interface.
The EMS system is designed for centralized monitoring and management of enterprise-class IT infrastructure. The system is not tied to specific hardware manufacturers, which greatly facilitates the work of system administrators, who in another case have to manage each server device separately. In turn, the use of open protocols allows the system to operate in a multivendor environment, using the same methods to control and monitor equipment from different manufacturers.
The central window of the system has a dashboard that allows administrators to view the entire infrastructure, quickly detect and respond to failures. Usability is comparable to the most popular products. The device allows you to find bottlenecks in performance and determine equipment whose computing resources are close to depletion.
EMS enables you to manage infrastructure of any size with up to thousands of servers. Administrators from a single center can manage power, firmware updates and server configuration changes, OS and software installations with scheduled operations for a given period of time. In this release of the system, administrators also have the opportunity to add their own fields to the description of infrastructure objects - for example, an inventory number or a responsible employee - to simplify the inventory of devices.
For greater simplicity and efficiency, SSO (Single Sign-on) technology was introduced on the BMC console of servers in this release of the system. Thanks to this technology, administrators do not need to re-enter their accounts data every time they connect, and the server administration process itself becomes more transparent - it opens up the ability to track employee actions.
In the presented release, the EMS system was able to deploy Linux family operating systems (Oracle Linux, CentOS, Red OS, Astra Linux, ALT Linux) on the server.
Our company tested EMS systems on Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant Gen9 and Gen10, HPE Synergy Gen9, Huawei 2288h V5, Lenovo ThinkSystem SR line servers, and in all the above cases, our specialists confirmed the operability of this system, - said Dmitry Egorov, Director of Software Solutions Department GAGAR > N. |
