On November 13, 2023, Axelot announced that NordEx Express had implemented AXELOT WMS in two warehouses alternately in 80 days.

According to the company, the automation of warehouse logistics was necessary for the company in order to optimize current business processes and make it easier for the company's employees to work, which, in turn, optimized overall efficiency - increased order processing speed and reduced errors. Since NordEx Logistics provides storage response services, the company was also important to detail the warehouse processes to take into account the labor costs in the warehouse associated with the provision of services to customers. At the time of launch, the customer had four customers, each with its own CIS and a reserved volume of warehouse capacity.

Having studied the offers on the WMS systems market, NordEx Express management decided to implement AXELOT WMS. The pilot project was launched at a site in the Moscow region. The area of ​ ​ this warehouse is 5500 square meters, and the number of active commodity items is more than 800, mainly raw materials for the chemical industry. The warehouse works only with reliably packed raw materials in barrels, boxes, "cubes," so there are no special requirements for handling dangerous goods.

The AXELOT project team surveyed the automation facility and configured AXELOT WMS to automate all key business processes. The typical functionality of the system "out of the box" turned out to be enough, to solve all the assigned tasks. During automation, AXELOT specialists used standard implementation technology (TSV). Thanks to these factors, the implementation of the system took only 44 working days.

Within the framework of the project, AXELOT specialists configured the integration circuit and carried out routing, including between the controller systems. With DATAREON Platform, the project team implemented real-time file transfers between participating systems. In total, the integration circuit included 5 systems - 4 corporate information systems of controllers and AXELOT WMS. Later, a sixth system was connected to the circuit - AXELOT WMS, introduced at a warehouse in St. Petersburg.

The result of the project was not only an automated warehouse of NordEx Express, but also a designed and customized circulation product. Warehouse employees perform all operations using data collection terminals, and adaptation to the updated system was quick and easy. AXELOT WMS automatically plans and monitors business processes, warehouse personnel do not need to make decisions on their own, which reduces the impact of the human factor and optimizes the speed of tasks.

The system ensures consistency and accuracy of all warehouse processes. AXELOT WMS helped to optimize the quality of customer service and ensure correct batch accounting, which is especially important for the active development of 3pl-logistics at NordEx Express, since in the future the company plans not only to expand the number of buyers, but also to increase the number of offered services. With the WMS system from AXELOT, NordEx Express has the resources and necessary tools for this.

After the completion of the pilot project, the companies continued to cooperate. The AXELOT WMS system was replicated in the NordEx Logistics warehouse in the Leningrad Region. This warehouse is very similar to the "pilot" in its characteristics and business processes, so a ready-made solution was taken as the basis for the implementation. The efficiency and flexibility of the solution developed in the pilot project, as well as the experience gained by the customer's project team and their focus on the result, made it possible to replicate in just 35 working days.
