2023: Use in delivery to maintain pizza temperature

In mid-November 2023, Domino's Pizza Enterprises introduced an electric bike called dXb for couriers. The peculiarity of this bike is the presence of an oven for delivering hot pizza.

The novelty is built on a traditional frame, in which the battery is built, and is equipped with 20-inch street tires. The back has a Pizza Pod box, which is specially designed to deliver hot pizza. This insulated electrified compartment houses a ceramic fan oven that keeps the product at 68 degrees Celsius throughout the trip.

The shock absorbers at the bottom of the Pizza Pod help compensate for shaking when driving on rough roads: this makes it possible to maintain a marketable pizza look. In addition, there is a built-in ventilation system that allows steam to escape, which prevents the product from getting wet. The current temperature inside the oven is displayed on the outside of the box. The bike features a wide stand in the rear wheel area - to ensure stable parking with a massive Pizza Pod oven in mind.

At the first stage, dXb electric bikes will appear in a number of regions of Domino's Pizza Enterprises presence: these are, Australia,, New Zealand,, Belgium,, France,, Netherlands,, and Japan. Germany Luxembourg Taiwan Malaysia Moreover Singapore , in Cambodia some markets, instead of bicycles, electric scooters will be used, also equipped with a Pizza Pod oven.

For us, delivering the perfect pizza is more than just a job. This is our main goal. Obligations to your customers are not terminated the minute the food is handed over to the delivery courier. The new solution will allow customers to get pizza "only from the oven" without leaving the house, "says Don Meij, CEO and Managing Director of Domino's Group[1]
