2023: Appointment as CEO of Conti-Rus

At the end of November 2023, it was announced that Pavel Strogonov was appointed general director of the former Ukrainian confectionery enterprise JSC Konti-Rus, which was transferred to the ownership of the Russian Federation a few weeks earlier at the suit of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to RBC with reference to the press service of the government of the Kursk region, Pavel Strogonov has a wealth of experience in managerial positions. Previously, he served as development director and general director at one of the enterprises in Kaliningrad.

According to the Kontur. Focus system, before heading Konti-Rus JSC, Pavel Strogonov was the general director of the Russian subsidiary of the Swiss confectionery group Barry Callebaut - Barry Kallebout Kaliningrad LLC.

At the end of November 2023, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, held a working meeting with the new head of Konti-Rus. The meeting discussed the current situation in production, its prospects and opportunities for cooperation with the regional government in the future.

Today, the company JSC "Conti-Rus" is one of the leading exporters and taxpayers of the Kursk region. Most importantly, more than 2.6 thousand people work at the enterprise. In this situation, our common task is to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the enterprise, to prevent disruptions in the supply of raw materials and shipment of products, - said the governor through the press service of the Kursk region administration.

By the end of November 2023, Konti-Rus JSC has two confectionery factories in Kursk, a logistics center, production sites in the Lipetsk and Ivanovo regions. In January-September 2023, Kursk plants "Conti-Rus" produced about 56.7 thousand tons of confectionery products against 80 thousand tons in total 2022.[1]
