2020: One storekeeper copes with labeling because he has a "Kleverens": Galant's experience in warehouse automation and retail

Original products are presented on store shelves or not - the main issue that worries customers purchasing branded perfumes. It is so that the consumer can independently verify the information about the manufacturer and verify the authenticity of the goods, the packaging is marked. And recently, an experiment was started to apply a small black and white graphic image and cosmetics.

Galant is a wholesale and retail company founded in 1997 and operating in the Smolensk, Bryansk, Kaluga regions. The company has awarded more than 100 direct contracts to manufacturing plants, partners with large commercial retail chains and individual entrepreneurs, and delivers products to more than 2,500 customers every month.

"We have a chain of multidisciplinary stores' Ledia '. We sell: household goods, cosmetics, summer cottages and more. In addition to retail, we also have an online store and a Galant wholesale base. We initially kept records in '1C: Trade Management 11.4', but with the introduction of labeling for perfumes and towels and the growth of the range, it became more difficult to manually perform standard warehouse operations - acceptance, movement, inventory. Tasks

After choosing hair dye, shadows, nail polish, shampoo and a couple of flower pots, it remains only to pay for the purchase. Or arrange delivery on the website of the online store. Collecting an order is the task of sellers. That's who has to deal with the marking and interact with the "Honest Sign." After all, it is not so easy to manually take the KM out of circulation after the sale.

"We opened several more new outlets, sales volumes increased and the understanding came that the usual mode of work on paper invoices was no longer suitable. Employees began to spend a lot of time accepting and shipping goods. On the contrary, we wanted to speed up these operations and simplify the inventory. Having analyzed the market, we realized that automation of warehouse and retail using data collection terminals will help solve all our issues, "said the manager of the commercial department of Galant and the Ledia retail chain of stores.

Decision

Paper inventory is very rarely enthusiastic among staff. Therefore, a working day, as a rule, either begins a few hours earlier, or ends much later, or you have to simultaneously count the goods and serve buyers. Mistakes cannot be avoided in any case.

"Since at the time of TSD implementation we already needed to work with labeling, we chose 'Warehouse 15 with Kirovka' from 'Kleverens'. Since this software already has built-in functions for working with DataMatrix codes. Store 15 was more suitable for retail.

There were no questions about the software itself at all - everything works fine. More time was spent on training storekeepers and sellers to work with terminals and the specifics of interaction with the accounting system regarding labeling, "Maxim shared his working points.


At the Galant warehouse in Ledia retail stores, 6 Honeywell ScanPal EDA50K mobile computers are now used. The management plans to introduce 3 more data collection terminals when expanding the network and opening new outlets. Galanta specialists configured the exchange between the connected equipment and 1C via Wi-Fi.

"The main inconvenience is that we cannot open one document on two different devices. More precisely, the invoice can be transferred to the shipping documentation, but it will be processed by two different 'Cloverens' programs. But it will not automatically work to bring the data into a single whole according to two documents. Therefore, for collective work, either 'Warehouse 15 with Kirovka' should be used, or 'Store 15

'.

Also, shipping documentation issues an error when, during acceptance, the operator reads the barcode of the product, which is already included in 1C under another ShK from the manufacturer. Such products are always recognized as new. Goods receipts, assembly of orders, movements, sale - we do everything using terminals. Because we need to take labeling into account. And several times it is more convenient to do this automatically than manually through 1C, "said Maxim.


The installation software was carried out by Galant specialists. During the next update, " ON Kleverens" began to "swear" and issue an error. But after contacting the technical support of the developer and installing an extended patch, it was possible to restore the normal operation of the shipping documentation. There are no more such difficulties.

Results

Customer loyalty is one of the most important factors that keeps track of the business. As practice shows, if a client leaves the store, satisfied with the purchase, he will definitely return again. It remains only to build the work of sellers so that retail can pay as much attention as possible to visitors to the outlet, but at the same time manage to accept the goods, upload them to storefronts, and timely control price tags and balances.
