2025: Ability to draw up NEP
In Kontur.KEDO, it is now possible to issue NEP to employees without contacting the Public services. SKB Kontur announced this on April 14, 2025.
Now in the Kontur.KEDO service, you can confirm your identity to obtain a certificate of unqualified electronic signature (NEP) without contacting the State Public services website. The authorized employee of the organization will be able to prove the identity of the recipient of the certificate. This is convenient for working with those employees who, for some reason, have difficulties registering with Public services.
The status of a trusted person of the Contour Certification Center (CA) allows you to empower company employees to certify the identity of employees or candidates when issuing and revoking a NEP. The trustee is obliged to identify the recipient of the NEP in his personal presence (part 4 of article 13 of Federal Law No. 63-FZ "On Electronic Signature"). This allows you to abandon the use of Public services (ESIA) for identification.
Kontur.KEDO is a service that allows you to conduct document management with employees online, save time and resources on printing, sending and waiting for documents. Now organizations that use Kontur.KEDO can appoint persons within their company authorized to work with the Contour CA - it is they who will be able to personally certify the identity of other employees. To do this, you will need to send an official letter from the organization with a list of such persons in support of the Contour.
After receiving the letter, Kontur.KEDO specialists will configure the service so that:
- the employees specified in it will appear in the list of authorized CAs on the "Certificate Applications" tab;
- When creating a NEP request, a choice will appear between the available ID methods.

2024: Automating the creation of a vacation schedule
In Kontur.KEDO automated the creation of a vacation schedule. SKB Kontur announced this on November 20, 2024.
The employer must approve the vacation schedule two weeks before the start of the new calendar year, no later (Article 123 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). Preparation of the document requires considerable effort and time from the personnel. It is necessary to collect information about the vacation periods of all employees of the company, take into account their wishes and coordinate them with the heads of departments.
In companies where personnel electronic document management (EDC) has not yet been implemented, the process of preparing a vacation schedule takes a long time. For example, a personnel specialist of a company that employs 300 people, when preparing a vacation schedule, must enter into manual and agree on about 1200 dates. And this is provided that one employee divides the vacation into only two parts. It is impossible to delay: the legislation sets the deadlines for the annual approval of the vacation schedule, their pass threatens with administrative fines.
Now users of the FEDO service from the Contour can plan their own vacation directly in the system. The service will independently set available limits for rest days for each employee. When all days are distributed, the user sends his schedule for approval to the manager. The EDC service automatically determines the direct supervisor of each employee. The personnel officer sends an order to familiarize himself with the approved vacation schedule to employees in the KEDO service. The system will remind each employee of the leave immediately before it starts. And then they will be able to choose: sign the notice and go on vacation or postpone it to another date by issuing an appropriate application.

2023: Launch of automatic re-release of unqualified electronic signature certificate
In the Contour service.KEDO On December 25, 2023, the automatic reissue of the unqualified certificate electronic signature (NEP) was launched.
In personnel electronic document management (CED), with the help of NEP, most personnel and internal documents of the company are signed: an employment contract, application for vacation, briefings and others. According to estimates by Kontur.KEDO, NEPs account for 94% of all types of electronic signatures that companies use for EDO with employees.
The certificate of unqualified electronic signature is re-issued annually - for this, each employee needs to re-pass identification through public services or a certification center and send an application for the release of a new signature. The reissue of the signature itself takes no more than 15 minutes, but the personnel officer has to manually monitor the validity of all certificates - it is manual search, selection and initiation of the release that significantly slows down the process. Organizations with thousands of employees hire an administrator or even several for this purpose.
Now users of the FEDO service from the Kontur can connect the automated reissue of the NEP certificate for all employees of the company by pressing one button. The service itself will determine those who end the NEP action, and initiates the reissue of these certificates. This functionality allows you to completely abandon manual monitoring of EP certificates.
