2023: Project cost increase by 32.6% to RUB 11.8 bln

The cost of building the Center for Microelectronic Systems of Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics (TUSUR) increased by 32.6% and reached 11.8 billion rubles. The rector of the university Viktor Rulevsky told about this in December 2023.

According to him, the estimate increased due to the equipment. Now TUSUR needs to find about 1 billion rubles at the expense of partners and internal resources for the implementation of this project, Rulevsky noted.

The construction of a microelectronics center in Tomsk has risen in price by a third

Earlier it was reported that TUSUR plans to build and open a microelectronics center in Tomsk in 2024-2025, but then the dates were shifted to 2025-2027 The size and place of construction of the center changed: from 10 thousand square meters. m at the main building of TUSUR - up to 25 thousand "squares" on the Moscow highway. Later it became known about the transfer of the center to the site near the SEZ. The cost was initially estimated at 8.9 billion rubles.

He also said that in the Center for Microelectronics, educational activities will be conducted in the format of a project master's degree. The center will become a single platform for developing new technological solutions and creating new elements and components in the field of microwave electronics, radiophotonics and power electronics for the Big University and such companies as Rostec, Almaz-Antey, NIIPP, Mikran and others, said the rector of TUSUR.

He added that the Center for Microelectronic Systems will become a "training factory" where education and research activities will be concentrated (within the center, it is planned to create technological platforms for developing new technologies and mock-up samples).[1]
