1869: Education of the City

When the city was formed in 1869, the name Sochi already existed. His early name was Sadsha, after the name of the Ukhybsky tribe, which lived there in 1641. In translation, the word meant those who descended by the sea. During the debt period, "Sadsha" endured changes as a result of which it was reduced to "Sasha" in the sound of the Abkhaz "Socha" for the Ukhib name.
