Samsung headphones explode right in the ear
At the end of September 2024, it became known that Turkey Samsung the Galaxy Buds FE wireless earphone exploded right in the girl's ear. This led to complete hearing loss.
A user who spoke about the incident on the Turkish Samsung forum said that he gave his girlfriend to listen to the Galaxy Buds FE headphones. After some time, one of the insert modules exploded without any hint of a malfunction. As a result, the girl lost her hearing. It is claimed that the exploded headphones were completely new and never charged - they were first used with the original charge level out of the box.
I never charged them, and they were about 36% charged. When my girlfriend borrowed them to listen, the headphones exploded in her ear, resulting in permanent hearing loss. We have an appropriate doctor's report, - wrote the buyer of the defective product. |
The user took the headphones to the local Samsung service center. There, after a two-day investigation, it is alleged they concluded that the earpiece had simply "deformed" rather than exploded. The service center allegedly offered a replacement for the same model with the "take it or not take it" position. Samsung employees also told the client that if he remains dissatisfied, he can apply to the court.
The buyer complains that he has to defend his position for months. He stresses that he has all the documentation he needs, including a check to buy the device, photos of the headphones before and after the incident, and medical records confirming the hearing loss was caused by the explosion. At the same time, some users of social networks who analyzed the published photos express doubts that the captured damage on the earpiece could have been caused by the explosion of the battery from the inside.[1]
Implementation of the function of speech translation into different languages in real time
Samsung is introducing Live Translate into the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds FE wireless headphones when used in conjunction with the Galaxy S24 series smartphones. TAdviser got acquainted with the capabilities of the system designed to translate speech into different languages in real time in mid-August 2024.
Live Translate is part of the platform. artificial intelligenceGalaxy AI According to Samsung, it allows you to feel comfortable in any country in the world and find a common language with people of different cultures and nationalities. Live Translate in two-way format translates the telephone conversation, on the fly voicing phrases in the user's language or displaying them in text on the display smartphone directly during the call.
The new function is based on the AI model built into the device for language translation. Thanks to this, users can communicate without restrictions, without worrying that when using Synchronized Translation, their personal data will be available outside the smartphone. The system was developed by specialists from Samsung research centers around the world, including Poland, China, India and Vietnam. This allowed to expand the list of languages supported by the Galaxy AI platform. Languages are said to have many cultural, temporal and local characteristics, and therefore the work of regional research centers is important to help people overcome language barriers and communicate more freely anywhere in the world.
Samsung is committed to providing users with the ability to communicate without language barriers, while ensuring the safety and privacy of every conversation, says the South Korean manufacturer.[2] |
Product Announcement
In early January 2024, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds series of fully wireless submersible headphones (TWS), in the charging case of which a small display is integrated. This screen can display various useful information.
The display built into the case has a round shape - it is made using OLED technology (organic LEDs). This panel resembles the Galaxy Watch smartwatch in functionality. For example, you can display the time and date, information about the battery level of the headphones and the case itself. In addition, the operating modes of the active noise cancellation system and equalizer, volume and additional settings are displayed.
The user can also receive information about the currently played song: its name, artist name, genre, etc. You can also activate the animated splash screen - for example, in the form of a vinyl record player.
Directly through the display of the case, the user will be able to control certain functions of the headphones, in particular, switch compositions and adjust the volume level. Thus, you will not have to use a smartphone for this. However, it is noted that the presence of a built-in display additionally discharges the battery of the case, which serves to charge the headphones.[3]
