2023: Import substitution of computers

Zarubezhneft is implementing a project to import substitution of personal computers in its offices. The project was implemented within the framework of the project on digital transformation and import substitution policy of the company with the technical support of the center for expertise and distribution of digital technologies Axoft and the system integrator CapitalIT. Axoft announced this on January 17, 2024.

The team of technical specialists Axoft and CapitalIT deployed several domestic PCs in the demophone, which were included in the register of electronic products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. As part of the test for the existing information system of Zarubezhneft, the Astra Linux operating system was installed with the possibility of deploying the P7-Office office suite.

In October 2023, most P7-Office products received official certificates of compatibility with Astra Linux Special Edition (update 1.7). At the same time, the Aquarius group of companies at the stage of design and development of new models is already laying down compatibility with operating systems and applications of other domestic manufacturers. This allowed the customer to get a technological stack that can close several needs at once.

The final decision in favor of the Aquarius Cmp NS483 convertible laptop was made according to the following criteria: build quality, component functionality, speed of operation, processor cooling technology, weight. The project was implemented efficiently and on time.

After testing several personal computers, the Zarubezhneft Information Technology Department decided to purchase multifunctional convertible laptops with screen 14 Aquarius Cmp NS483. This PC most optimally integrated into the existing infrastructure, and also demonstrated technological work, not inferior to foreign counterparts from manufacturers who left Russia.

It is also worth noting that Zarubezhneft already has a digital transformation strategy, which includes further measures to switch to domestic equipment and find the best solutions in the domestic manufacturers market.
