Consumer goods manufacturer Unilever Rus has deployed a virtual office based on a set of Yandex 360 services for business. Representatives of Yandex reported this to TAdviser on January 25, 2024. Now more than 2,500 employees of the company are building workflows with the team and external partners using the tools of the cloud services ecosystem.

As the representative of Yandex clarified to the TAdviser portal, earlier the Unilever Rus group of companies worked in the Microsoft ecosystem. To maintain sustainable development, Unilever Rus decided to change the foreign vendor to a supplier of IT solutions with the localization of data centers in Russia. The complexity of the solution is the main thing that was paid attention to when choosing a product developer. It was necessary to introduce into business processes not disparate services, but a single ecosystem with a set of tools necessary to maintain and improve the efficiency of team communications. According to Yuri Blizgarev, CEO of Solutions for the Future and Chief information officer of Unilever Rus, the company has been analyzing various solutions in the SaaS products market for a long time and choosing the most suitable ecosystem of services with a comfortable migration process. The move to Yandex 360 for business as a whole took place in several stages.

"First we ran a little test and looked inside at the ecosystem products. Then they moved to the stage of a large pilot and transferred about 15% of the personnel to the new platform for maximum preparation for the final stage of migration. Thanks to a thorough study of the process and pre-conducted training of employees, the final stage of the transition was as comfortable as possible for the entire team, "said Yuri Blizgarev.

According to Yandex, a large and distributed team is working on the development of Unilever Rus. According to statistics, most often the company's employees use Mail - every day the service processes about 250 thousand user letters.

According to the client, the virtual office closes all the key needs of the team in the process of collaboration: from communication by e-mail, planning events in Calendar, teamwork with Documents on Disk, to group video conferencing in Teleconference, as well as instant messaging and calls in Messenger.
