2023: Electronic Waybill Testing

Russian Post began to use electronic waybills in test mode. This will increase the transparency and speed of cargo transportation and significantly reduce the volume of paper document circulation. This was announced by the Russian Post on January 31, 2024.

Post is implementing a pilot project in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, FSUE ProtectionInfoTrans and Astral Group of Companies. As of January 2024, one road transport company (ATP) of the Post Office in Moscow uses electronic waybills. The company plans to launch the project on the 90 largest ATPs in 2024. During testing, the company will check the algorithms for working with the involved medical staff, new machine-readable powers of attorney (MCD) and other innovative technologies.

The Post has one of the largest fleets to the country in - more than 15,000 cars. The average monthly mileage, which passes the transport of the Russian Post along postal routes, is 39,380,580 km per month. In 2023, Post Office employees issued 2,925,287 waybills. The introduction of EPL is a necessary step in the field that automobile logistics will significantly reduce the cost of sending, business processes printing and storing documents. The waybill serves not only to control the movement of cars, but also is the basis for charging wages drivers, writing off fuel and lubricants.
