2024: Production start-up
Perm company Morion has launched the production of managed switches for building high-performance communication networks. This was announced on February 27, 2024 by the press service of the Industrial Development Fund (FRP), which provided the vendor with a preferential loan for the implementation of the project.
The costs of launching the production of Ethernet switches amounted to 140 million rubles, of which 46 million rubles were allocated by the federal FRP, and 20 million rubles - by the regional fund. As part of this project, Morion is going to manufacture more than 140 devices. The company notes that most of the components used in the new equipment are Russian (localization - 70%).
MorionNew items are presented in several series. Thus, the models KRM-5960 created in the all-in-one form factor with 24 1 Gb/s client ports and four 10 Gb/s line ports, and KAM-3284 series switches - in block-modular design with four optical or electrical ports per module (up to 24 ports per unit).
The KAM-3284 devices can be used at air temperature from -10 to + 55 ° С, under the influence of vibration and repeated shocks, salt fog. This degree of protection allows you to operate equipment in mobile communication systems, in coastal sea zones, on surface ships. The KRM-5960 series switches are installed in communication nodes with controlled temperature and humidity parameters, added to the FRP.
The switches provide several control mechanisms to protect the network, control access and restrict traffic, including when working with an infrastructure built on the basis of the Russian operating system Astra Linux.
The first Morion controlled switches have already been delivered to departmental and technological communication networks of oil and gas transportation enterprises, as well as railway and energy organizations.[1]
