2024: Product Announcement
At the end of February 2024, Oppo announced the Watch X smartwatch, which features two processors and two operating systems running simultaneously. The device is made in a strong case with protection against moisture and dust in accordance with MIL-STD-810H and IP68 standards.
The gadget carries on board the main Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip and the BES 2700BP auxiliary processor. The Wear OS 4 software platform is involved, which is responsible for the operation of various applications, including Google Maps, Assistant, Wallet, Calendar, Keep, Gmail, etc. Additionally, a real-time OS (RTOS) is used, which controls functions such as collecting data on the user's physical activity, making calls, etc.
The smartwatch features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 326 PPI (dpi), a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels, a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and a durable 2.5D sapphire glass. The amount of RAM is 2 GB, the capacity of the built-in flash module is 32 GB. Power is provided by a 500 mA·ch battery, which will last a maximum of 12 days in low power mode.
The novelty has Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n adapters (2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands Bluetooth) and 5.0, a controller, NFC as well as a receiver for navigation systems//. The GPSGalileoGLONASS set of sensors includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, optical heart rate sensor, pulse oximeter, geomagnetic sensor, barometer and light sensor. The dimensions of the watch are 47 × 46.6 × 12.1 mm, the weight is about 80 grams along with the strap. Waterproofing of 5 ATM is declared. As of early March 2024, the Oppo Watch X is offered for about $300.[1]
