2024: Geohub Platform Introduction

The developer company from Innopolis "" InnoGeoTech introduced its own platform for managing and analyzing geodata - Geohub. The developer announced this on March 12, 2024.

The platform was created to work with geodata as part of project activities in various industries - in agriculture, forestry and urban economy. Federal and regional GIS projects were implemented using the platform. After completing the pilot stage, Geohub is available to all users.

Since 2023, Geohub has been included in the Register of Domestic Software.

The basic functionality of the Geohub platform will help users to create their own GIS projects in a few steps and work on creating and changing maps in an intuitive platform interface either independently or together with the team.

Geohub is based on a mapping web browser with a wide range of tools for analyzing and editing geodata:

• all data, tools, map - in one window;
• the ability to work with geodata in both 2D and 3D mode;
• importing files in popular formats, creating a layer with "0" in the system, adding spatial data using standard OGC protocols;
• Data setup - from layer attribute values to object geometry
• export of data in popular formats, including text;
• many tools for optimizing work, including

spatial search, bookmarks, coordinate navigation, and more.

During the work on large-scale federal and regional projects for the digitalization of geodata, we have accumulated the necessary experience to develop a platform that will help users simplify work with mapping material. The main goal of creating such a web GIS is to speed up work on projects and facilitate the routine processes of cartographers, employees of departmental organizations and other users. Now the platform is available to everyone, - said Alexey Mirolyubov, head of product development and development at InnoGeoTech.

The pilot launch and testing of the platform was carried out on the projects of InnoGeoTech with state and corporate customers, one of which is the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The platform is already used by Ministry employees in activities related to working with geodata about the forest fund. So, on the basis of Geohub, projects were carried out to create a digital database on the Lands of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and monitoring the forest fund in terms of detecting forest changes, - said First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Zaripov Ilgizar Nailevich.
