2024: Plan for the development of the federal network of electric filling stations

Concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" (KRET, part of the State Corporation Rostec) and the SIMETRA group of companies will develop a plan for the development of the federal network of electric filling stations (EZS) taking into account the needs of owners of electric vehicles. The pilot project is planned to be implemented in Rostov-on-Don. Simetra announced this on March 28, 2024.

The result of the joint work of the specialists will be a detailed map of the location of the charging infrastructure for Russian cities and individual regions.

For March 2024, the possibility of obtaining the status of a federal operator of the EZS network by the KRET Concern is being considered. To form an integrated approach to our participation in the development of electric mobility in the country, we, with the assistance of the Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University (MADI), attracted the SIMETRA group of companies for consultations, the KRET said.

As part of KRET, the development and production of domestic ESS is carried out by the State Ryazan Instrument Plant (GRPZ). As of March 2024, a whole line of stations under the FORA brand is being manufactured at its facilities: charging stations for electric buses, "fast" and "slow" charging stations for electric vehicles. ESS from KRET have already been installed in more than 20 cities of Russia.

Electric vehicle charging stations are not just infrastructure, they are a key element of the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. The developed EZS network will make electric transport more attractive for a larger range of drivers in Russia. For March 2024, we have technological capabilities in order to form it taking into account the convenient location and real needs of the participants in the movement, - the rector of MADI Artem Azhgirevich is sure.

SIMETRA specialists have extensive experience in transport analytics and the development of plans for the development of the transport system in cities. As part of the joint work, the prospects of three locations in Rostov-on-Don have already been analyzed, where KRET plans to place the EZS as part of a pilot project.

Without enough charging stations and a convenient charging system, electric cars will not be able to fully realize their potential. The scientific approach of KRET and SIMETRA is an excellent foundation for the formation of an optimal infrastructure for electric transport for many years to come, "said Sultan Zhankaziev, head of the Organization and Traffic Safety Department of MADI, President of the Association of Transport Engineers.
