2003-2009

While studying at Moscow State University. N.P. Ogareva Dmitry Karasev worked as a laboratory assistant at the university, head of the computer department and PC operator. Until 2005, he worked as a leading designer at ZAO Spektr-Elektrovryavitel, and since 2009 he has led the Baitex companies Bytex (). Under the leadership of Karasev Baitex, the company became one of the leading IT integrators in the region, implementing many large and socially significant projects.

2024: Appointment as Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Mordovia

The head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov signed a decree appointing Dmitry Karasev as the new Minister of Digital Development of the republic. This was reported on May 14, 2024 on the official portal of the state authorities of Mordovia.

This report says that in his new position Dmitry Karasev will be responsible for the development and implementation of the digital transformation strategy of the Republic of Mordovia, the introduction of digital technologies in all spheres of the region's life, improving the quality and availability of electronic public services, developing IT infrastructure and ensuring cybersecurity, supporting IT entrepreneurship and creating favorable conditions for the development of the IT industry in the region.
