Bytex is a game studio from Saransk (Mordovia). The company specializes in testing and supporting video games. By the end of September 2021, Bytex has 240 people, 190 of whom are developers. Bytex also offers access to quality control solutions throughout the game development process on all platforms. The company was founded by Dmitry Karasev, who by September 2021 continues to head Bytex as CEO.
History
2021: Embracer Group bought Bytex
At the end of September 2021, Embracer Group, through its subsidiary Sabre Interactive, acquired a 100% stake in Bytex. The financial component of the transaction is not disclosed.
Prior to the deal, Bytex had already collaborated with the Embracer Group, taking part in the development of video games such as SnowRunner, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, World War Z and some others.

Under Embracer Group, Bytex will operate as a subsidiary of Sabre. Due to the presence of a gaming studio in Russia and Eastern Europe, the deal will allow Sabre to find new customers in this region.
