Asteros constructed IT infrastructure of office VTB in "The Nevsky town hall"

2013-2014: Creation of IT infrastructure of office in a tower Federation

Creation of infrastructure of new office of VTB Group which includes the bank of the same name in a tower Federation became the largest project of this category in the territory of Russia and Eastern Europe.

Analysts of CNews gave such characteristic of the project, having estimated as of 2009 the project budget at 830 million rubles. The project lasted since 2007, was announced its end today. The Asteros company acted as integrator. The direct customer and the contractor of the project do not open its budget.

VTB made the decision on construction of the new office building in 2005. Separate requirements were imposed to IT infrastructure of office spaces which should adapt to the growing business of VTB flexibly.

Having come to the end this month, the project covered 32 floors with a total area of 60 thousand sq.m. Within project works more than 20 systems, including two data processing centers, the dealing center, the center of monitoring of IT infrastructure and other computer systems are created. Sozdanay infrastructure allows 3.5 thousand employees of VTB, being in a uniform point, to manage thousands of financial flows of bank.

The concept of mobile office allowing to create in a few minutes a workplace in any point of office is the cornerstone of IT infrastructure. For this purpose the structured cable network (SCN) SYSTIMAX iPatch and the electric network are designed by the principle of cells covering all office space.

Use of SYSTIMAX iPatch allows VTB to save on service maintenance up to $500 thousand a month. The solution supports 29 thousand SCS ports that is a record for Eastern Europe. High degree of fault tolerance of SCS is provided with three levels of reservation. Additional reliability to the solution is provided by armored communication channels.

On the 22nd floor of the building the basis of computing infrastructure of VTB – a data processing center more than 500 sq.m. is located. The cooling system of servers has double power reserve, and the underlain principles of reliability support work of the systems of data center within 4 hours in emergency operation. Optimum to use space of DPC and it is easy to arrange it under business needs, saving the enclosed investments, the scalable solution of Rittal Rimatrix5 is used.

In addition at office VTB corporate telephone communication based on IP technologies is organized, the corporate data network is created and also a system for acceptance of channels of the radio TV is installed. Supermodern audio-and video systems cover nearly 40 meeting rooms, conference rooms and the congress center of office, helping to organize effective communications with partners in different corners of the globe and regional representative offices of financial group.

Management of a technical complex is made from the center of monitoring of IT infrastructure. Asteros also completely equipped the dealing center of VTB investment company. Constructed taking into account the European standards, the center allows not only to register telephone conversations of traders, but also to conduct a video of all transactions executed by them.

At the moment at new office the central office VTB which was located in four certain buildings of Moscow earlier is placed.

2015: Creation of IT infrastructure of office on Vorontsovskaya Street

On April 6, 2015 the Asteros group announced completion of design and creation of IT infrastructure of office of the VTB bank located on Vorontsovskaya Street in Moscow.

Within the long-term and large-scale project in the administrative building of VTB will develop a hi-tech modern complex engineering and IT systems.

At the beginning of 2012 VTB started construction of new office of class A on Vorontsovskaya Street in Moscow. By the beginning of works the building ^{of bank of 20.6 thousand sq.m} was located here. New construction was unrolled on the neighboring platform in 0.4 hectares. By 2013 the 72-meter tower is built. The total area of an object - 26.5 thousand ^sq.m, including an elevated part — 18.9 thousand ^sq.m. Creation of a complex of IT systems was carried out by the Asteros group. Works were carried out parallel to construction of the building.

Office VTB on Vorontsovskaya St., 2014

Within the project specialists of Asteros created the IT infrastructure supporting daily work of the administrative building of VTB. More than ten implemented systems provide activity of bank, comfort of employees and security of the building. Among IT and engineering solutions which equip an object — the systems of community reception of television, corporate telephone communication, multimedia of a system of meeting rooms and also an intellectual structured cabling system and many others. The local computer network is unrolled in all territory of office and covers more than 2.5 thousand jobs of the staff of VTB created by specialists of Asteros. Flexible scalable technological solutions provide the continuity of business processes and high availability of IT services.

The final stage on an object - design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the multimedia systems in a multifunction conference room of VTB. The hall, ^{of 144.5 sq.m}, is expected 133 places and provides comfortable carrying out all complex of business actions using the latest multimedia equipment.

2017: Creation of IT infrastructure of office VTB in "The Nevsky town hall"

The Asteros group announced on November 28, 2017 deployment of a complex of the engineering, IT and multimedia systems for VTB headquarters in business quarter "Nevsky town hall". As noted, it is the third project of Asteros on equipping of offices of bank: "The Nevsky town hall" will become "business card" of VTB in the Northern Capital.

Prerequisites

"The Nevsky town hall" — the project of VTB Group in the central region of St. Petersburg. The administrative and business complex integrates buildings of executive authorities, business centers with offices of class A, hotel, objects of trade and service infrastructure and also public spaces. At the end of 2017 to "The Nevsky town hall" 15 committees of the St. Petersburg government and also three state organizations of administration will move. Here the headquarters of VTB. Bank will be located will occupy the eight-story building with a total area about 40 thousand sq.m. For the organization of daily work of office the customer needed high-performance modern IT infrastructure which creation was entrusted the Asteros group.

Work progress

The structured cabling system at office VTB is implemented based on the equipment Systimax of CommScope company. For its work in the building of the headquarters more than 30 km of cable passages are laid, about 10 thousand of copper and more than 6 thousand optical ports for which switching the intelligent system of imVision is used are set. Besides, a number of key IT systems of the customer is created using solutions of the Czech producer Conteg. It is a basis for an IT infrastructure monitoring system, cabinets and racks for SCS, interline conditioners of the closed architecture in all IT premises and opened — for "a cold corridor".

At creation of an electrodistribution network for the IT equipment current buses and blocks of distribution of power supply Conteg, and for jobs of employees — products of OBO Bettermann companies were used ABB Legrand. In total in the project more than 40 km of an electric cable were used.

Within creation of a complex of the multimedia systems in the building of "The Nevsky town hall" the command of Asteros equipped meeting rooms of small type up to 20 sq.m with LCD panels of Samsung with the diagonal of 55 inches, [[VKS codecs|video conferencings]] Cisco and management systems of Crestron. Premises of standard type up to 35 sq.m are equipped with professional LCD panels of Samsung with the diagonal of 75 inches, Bose speaker systems and also a management system for lighting, a sound, switching of audio-and video signals of Crestron.

For VIP-negotiation of 90 sq.m are delivered professional LCD panels of Samsung with the diagonal of 75 inches and more high-class Bose speaker systems. In the hall of board the LCD display of Philips with the diagonal of 98 inches and permission of Ultra HD (4K) is placed, the Cisco VIDEOCONFERENCING system is created, panels of a congress system of the bonus DIS level and speaker systems together with the fault-tolerant power amplifier Bose and also a management system, processings and switching of audio-video signals based on the equipment Crestron are installed.

Project Results

On eight floors of "The Nevsky town hall" the command of Asteros unrolled the IT hi-tech complex and the engineering systems, including laying of the cable sewerage, construction of an intellectual structured cabling system, an electrodistribution network for the IT equipment and jobs of employees, the system of community reception of television, installation of raised floors for IT premises, creation of monitoring systems of IT infrastructure, conditioning for the IT equipment. At design of IT systems of office VTB the integrator used technology of information modeling of BIM (Building Information Modeling).

For support of the infrastructure processing all business processes of bank 16 technical premises, including the machine hall and 15 cross rooms are built, main of which it is equipped with "a cold corridor" for placement of the specific IT equipment. Besides, the command of Asteros created the multimedia systems for more than 100 premises in the building "The Nevsky town hall.

The start of the project in "The Nevsky town hall" fell on the heat of an economic crisis, however it did not prevent us to complete all works with an adherence to deadlines. In many respects it is a merit of the combined project team of Asteros from the Moscow and St. Petersburg divisions which is already familiar with requirements imposed by the customer to technology equipment of the buildings. The accumulated experience was applied in the St. Petersburg headquarters of VTB: the office is provided with the reliable infrastructure considering the current and future business needs.
