Career

2015-2021

Judging by the data of the Kontur. Focus service, Vladimir Chernov came to Rosneft's structures no later than 2015. Then he was a director of Rn-Endyrneftegaz, a subsidiary of the group in Khanty-Mansiysk. In 2017, he headed Rn-Vankor, in 2021 - Taimyrneftegaz-Port.

Since 2021, he has headed the exploration company Ngh-Nedra, owned by Taimyrneftegaz JSC, his own floating construction and installation detachment No. 36 and Taimyrneftegaz-Estate.

In 2019, Vladimir Chernov's achievements were recognized at the highest level - by decree of Putin, he was awarded the Order of Honor "for his great contribution to the development of the fuel and energy complex," at Rosneft he had already become the first vice president by this time.

2024: Appointment as CEO of Bashneft

On June 20, 2024, it became known about the appointment of Vladimir Chernov as the new general director of Bashneft instead of Andrei Lazeev, who, after leaving this post, headed RN-Vankor (operator of the Vankor cluster fields included in Rosneft's Vostok Oil project) and NGH-Nedra (part of Taimyrneftegaz, which owns the Payakhsky field, also included in Vostok Oil).

By June 20, 2024, Chernov still remains the general director of Vostok Oil LLC and Taimyrneftegaz JSC, according to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).

Bashneft is an oil company operating in more than 20 regions of Russia and abroad. He is engaged in oil refining and oil production in Bashkiria, Tatarstan, Khanty-Mansi and Nenets Autonomous Districts, Tyumen, Orenburg Regions (by June 2024).[1]
