2024: Pilot implementation of Pudu robot washers
The Perekrestok retail chain has launched a pilot project to introduce PUDU robot washers in its supermarkets in order to improve the quality and save cleaning resources. The first 10 robots have already appeared in supermarkets in Moscow, Sochi and St. Petersburg. This was announced by Perekrestok on June 24, 2024.
As part of the project, the network plans to identify the best way to clean retail premises. The robot replaces the breakdown machine and cleaning employee, while improving cleaning quality and increasing battery life. So, in an hour, a person with a breakdown machine washes 100 m ², while a robot - 1000 m ². Such a mechanism can perform both comprehensive cleaning and local tasks - for example, cleaning the floor if something falls. Other pluses include the robot's courtesy: it can say hello to customers or ask them to skip.
The project was launched in 8 metropolitan "Crossroads," as well as in one supermarket in St. Petersburg and in one in Sochi. Rooms from 1800 m ² to 8000 m ² began to be served by automated washers, and cleaners, in turn, change filters and launch robots. This system can be managed by any employee of the hall - from the director to the line staff.
The retail chain plans to summarize the project by August 2024. Among the predicted results from the use of robots are improving the quality of cleaning and redistributing employees' resources to other tasks.
H The experiment with robot washers should increase the comfort of visitors while shopping. This is our main principle in working with consumers - "Everything is for you! As for yourself, "commented Alexander Chukhontsev, director of support and efficiency of the Perekrestok retail network. |
