Biography

2024: Appointment as CEO of Rutek

In June 2024, Artush Baghdasaryan was appointed General Director of Rutek, which is developing the project of the Russian smartphone R-Fon. The change of the head of the company is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).

Artush Baghdasaryan became the general director of Rutek instead of Dmitry Ivannikov. The company confirmed this information to the TASS agency.

Dmitry Ivannikov successfully implemented the launch of R-Fon and a number of R&D projects, and has currently moved to another position in the company, "Sergei Kravtsov, a member of the board of directors of Rosa (another R-Fon smartphone developer) and Rutek, told the publication.

Before heading Rutek, Artush Baghdasaryan worked in this company as deputy general director. Baghdasaryan will continue to develop Rutek projects, the company added.

Rutek, owned by ex-Minister  of Communications Leonid Reiman, produces smartphones, server boards, tablets and other devices, which the company considers one of its flagship products.

A feature of the Russian smartphone "R-Fon" was the operating system "Rosa Mobile" of its own design, created on the basis of Linux with a bias to protect the user's personal data. The architecture differs from other similar solutions in a high level of security due to the refusal to use closed components from the Android OS, and also has a set of all the necessary basic system applications. Plus, it is possible to download and install the usual Android programs using a special tool "without violating security policies[1]
