2024: Adding generative AI

Tracer has a generative AI service that helps analyze crashes and problems in applications, and also offers a solution for them. VK (formerly Mail.ru Group) announced this on July 4, 2024. This tool will allow developers to quickly and efficiently identify the causes of errors and find ways to fix them. As a result, the time at each stage of application development is reduced: from testing to release into production.

Tracer is a VK tool for monitoring the stability of Android and iOS applications in real time. When problems are identified, the service creates a stectrace - a detailed failure report that includes an analysis of specific dependencies, sections and application modules where a failure could occur. Stacks can occupy hundreds of lines of technical information, which is not always possible to quickly understand.

The AI model analyzes the stectrace and determines the possible causes of the error, highlighting the most likely one, or compiles a list of factors that could lead to a failure. After determining the root cause, the neural network generates specific tips for correcting the error. For example, suggests changes to your code, updating libraries, or other actions to help avoid another failure. AI takes into account the specifics of the application, its architecture and the technologies used, which allows the service to give recommendations adapted to the specific conditions and needs of developers.

The neural network is constantly improving its algorithms, providing more and more accurate and useful recommendations. Developers can also leave feedback on how AI works in Tracer.

Tracer was developed by the Odnoklassniki team (OK.TECH), later it was introduced into most VK products. The service is free and available for integration.
