2025: Introducing the Ergonomics Analysis Solution for Dentists
On April 18, 2025, the Social Code company presented a solution based on artificial intelligence for analyzing the ergonomics of dentists. The program, developed in conjunction with ZUMAX RUSSIA, uses computer vision and machine learning technologies to monitor the doctor's pose in real time. The system "ZUMAX Ergonomics" recognizes 33 anatomical points of the body, evaluates the angles of the spine and the load on the muscles, providing instant recommendations for the correction of posture.
The solution is based on the MediaPipe Pose and OpenCV algorithms, which provide recognition accuracy over 95% and processing speed up to 60 frames per second. Thanks to built-in biomechanical calculations, it determines the load on the cervical region and analyzes the weight distribution to the lumbar region. Self-learning neural networks form personalized recommendations, adapting to the anthropometry of the doctor and the specifics of the procedures.
The system works through a standard webcam, eliminating the need for sensors or additional equipment. The non-contact approach preserves the naturalness of workflows, and built-in computer vision algorithms guarantee the accuracy of recognizing key body points. This makes the solution cost-effective and easy to scale.
The use of neural network models allows you to reduce the burden on the health of doctors and collect data for long-term analytics. This is preventive ergonomics. Algorithms teach doctors the right patterns of movement, reducing the risks of occupational diseases. Together with colleagues from ZUMAX, we prepared a series of articles detailing the impact of AI on the professional longevity of dentists. Scientific materials are sent to authoritative medical journals in dentistry and ergonomics, - said Artem Amentes, director of Social Code. |
Pilot testing in clinics showed a decrease in back pain complaints in dentists by 42% in six months.
2024: Software Development Begins
Zumax Russia has launched the development of software for monitoring the body position of specialists working on ZUMAX dental microscopes. The developer of the software was the company "Social Code," which announced this on July 18, 2024.
Computer vision will allow you to track the position of your hands, head, back, and a number of other parameters in real time. The system will be able to improve ergonomics of work, provide comfort and protect health from occupational diseases. The first version of artificial intelligence is planned to be presented in September 2024 in Moscow. It is expected that everyone will be able to customize the workplace for themselves and receive individual recommendations.
The dental sector willingly integrates new technologies and materials to improve the quality of work in all areas: prevention, diagnosis or treatment. The interest in using innovations from computer science is also clear. At the same time, there are no solutions on the market designed to take care of the health and well-being of the dental specialists themselves. We are pleased that our achievements in the field of artificial intelligence, together with the ZUMAX expertise in the field of dental equipment, will help specialists make their work more comfortable. Artem Amentes, director of the Social Code development company, said . |
Leading ZUMAX experts will advise developers at every stage to take into account all the intricacies of dentists. We have reference data in the field of ergonomics from microscope experts. This allows you to train the computer vision model to adapt to each specialist, taking into account individual features. We guarantee high quality and reliability, and most importantly, the benefits of the created software for our partners and doctors, "said Oleg Bronin, CEO of ZUMAX Russia. |
