The Higher School of Economics (HSE) represented by the Faculty of Urban and Regional Development and SIMETRA Group of Companies signed an agreement under which the company will provide the university with an academic license to use its own development - the RITM³ digital platform . HSE students using a digital platform will be able to carry out practical tasks for modeling traffic flows. Simetra announced this on August 27, 2024.

The domestic digital platform is RITM³ designed to analyze, plan and manage the transport system at the regional, city or industrial level. The system is used for monitoring, modeling and traffic management. RITM³ consists of modules that differ depending on the problems they solve and can be used both in conjunction and independently of each other. The academic version of the RITM³ digital platform includes basic modules - "Digital Twin," "Transport Forecasting and Modeling" and "Geo-Information System (GIS)."

Within the framework of the agreement, access is provided to a fully Russian RITM³ platform, on which students will be able to work out professional tasks that transport engineers face in practice.

Training in information technology at the university is an integral part of the training of highly qualified specialists who can develop the country's economy. Many projects begin with university work, students can still receive in-demand practical skills at the university, which are necessary, especially in such a difficult field of activity as transport modeling. Students with skills in working with modern transport modeling technologies receive a significant advantage in the labor market, - said Andrei Borisov, head of the trajectories "Transport Planning," "Transport Planning and Management" of the master's program "Management of Spatial Development of Cities" of the Federal State Research University Higher School of Economics.

Our company with the Higher School of Economics is connected by many years of cooperation: teaching disciplines in transport modeling, participation in scientific and educational events of the university. Training good specialists is one of the priorities of SIMETRA. With the help of the digital RITM³ platform, we give students the opportunity to master advanced technologies already at the stage of study. So we are simultaneously investing in the future of our company, and in general in the development of the transport industry, which now needs high-quality engineering personnel more than ever, - said Andrei Prokhorov, Ph.D., managing partner of SIMETRA Group of Companies.
