2025: Route mapping on public transport

2GIS on Apple Watch now helps navigate public routes. transport The application on the watch will tell you the location when to exit and how many stops are left. To find out the details, just tap the Live Activities widget and scroll the Digital Crown: the screen will display the direction of movement, the current location and the next segment of the route.

In order to see the main stages of the route, you need to build a route on public transport in the application on your smartphone and press "Go," and open the 2GIS on the watch - the application will show key information using Live Activities: transport icons with the color of the metro line, exit number, travel time and transfers, if provided.

Support is available on Apple Watch with watchOS 11 and iPhone running iOS 18. Correct operation requires 2GIS version 7.11 or later. You do not need to install a separate application on the watch - everything you need is automatically downloaded from the iPhone.

In 2GIS, the clock displays a map and objects on it - streets, roads, parks, buildings and the user's location. You can use this without opening the application on your phone. A link with it is useful when you need to follow the route using a watch or quickly see the geoposition of friends. A geoservice on your wrist will help you navigate your walk around the city, and your smartphone can be put in your pocket or backpack.

Update features are available for watches with watchOS 10 and smartphones with iOS 17. To take advantage of the geoservice capabilities on the Apple Watch, you need to update the 2GIS iPhone mobile application to version 6.42.4. Additionally, you do not need to download anything to the watch.
