2024: Use of Cupid MIK32 chips in the educational process

Zelenograd schoolchildren will begin to study hardware programming on the domestic microcontroller MIK32 Amur: with the support of MicronMoscow City Pedagogical University, it opens a special laboratory to train future specialists in the electronic industry and the educational segment. Micron announced this on September 3, 2024.

The educational process will be built for the first time on a domestic component base. Micron has already provided debug boards based on the Cupid microcontroller. About 300 schoolchildren will take part in this program on a budgetary basis, - said the acting Director of the Zelenograd branch of the Moscow State Pedagogical University Georgy Varganov.

This educational program "Hardware programming on the domestic microcontroller MIK32 Amur" was developed by the Moscow State Pedagogical University for students in grades 7-11 as part of an in-depth study of the subject of technology, computer science and radio engineering on the domestic technical basis. The main platform for the implementation of the educational program was school number 609. The educational process will use design kits using the MIK32 Amur Micron microcontroller, from the details of which schoolchildren will be able to collect various electronic engineering and technical domestic developments, program them and independently create new products. Moscow schoolchildren will have the opportunity to present their design work at the open city scientific and practical conference of students of educational organizations in the city of Moscow "Start in Electronics," organized by the Moscow State Pedagogical University.

The first step has been taken to flashing the educational process for the tasks of technological sovereignty. As of September 2024, both in schools and universities, education is almost completely based on an imported technical and component basis. Together with MGPU, we intend to integrate a domestic solution into the educational process, which will allow us to prepare high-quality personnel for the Russian semiconductor industry, "said Alexander Kolesov, Product Director of Mikron JSC.
