The university announced this on July 17, 2024.

How to protect yourself from terrorists, act in a fire, protect personal data on the network? What technical means help make an educational institution a safe place? What regulations should a security specialist understand? Teachers of the magistracy of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, including leading experts in the field of security, heads of executive authorities, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all these topics, as well as the anti-terror program, the prevention of extremism, work with the chipboard, civil defense and emergency situations will pay special attention, said Oleg Zverev, associate professor of the Department of Physical Education and Life Safety of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, organizer of the Safe School Club.

MSPU undergraduates will acquire professional competencies in various areas related to security, learn about methods and technological developments aimed at creating conditions for the safe stay of students, students and employees in an educational institution. For example, systems using artificial intelligence that analyze potentially dangerous situations - a person's fall, fire, the appearance of an armed criminal in a building. A block of lectures on the organization of highly effective security and the document "Anti-crisis team" have been developed, regulating the actions of employees in emergencies, where, in particular, algorithms for withdrawing students from the building during evacuation are described.

Plan to open an advisory and diagnostic center for adults with dyslexia

In the near future, the Moscow City Pedagogical University will open a consultative and diagnostic center for adults with dyslexia. The university announced this on October 19, 2023.

As noted by acting Director of the Institute of Special Education and Psychology of the Moscow State Pedagogical University Elena Ushakova, the creation of the center is dictated by the need for professional assistance to adults with dyslexia.

{{quote 'Dyslexia is not just a childhood problem. As an adult, it can also seriously complicate life, interfering with full-fledged social adaptation. Our center is designed to fill this gap, - said Ushakova. - The problem of dyslexia has reached the state level - this is evidenced by the fact that the event was attended by experts from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, members of the Expert Council on Education of People with Disabilities and People with Disabilities under the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education. }}

The center will have a team of highly qualified specialists - psychologists, speech therapists, defectologists. They will diagnose violations of writing and reading, advise on overcoming difficulties with text information.

Assistance will be provided free of charge to all applicants aged 16 to 65 years. For each after the examination, a personal roadmap will be developed with recommendations for the correction of dyslexia.

In addition, on the basis of the center, it is planned to conduct training trainings and seminars for specialists, students of pedagogical universities, as well as other educational events on the problem of dyslexia.

The opening of the center for assistance to adults with violations of writing and reading will be an important milestone in providing professional support to this category of the population. The activities of the center will contribute to overcoming difficulties and successful socialization of people with dyslexia.

The first Moscow university allowed its students to use AI to write diplomas

On August 31, 2023, the Moscow City Pedagogical University (MGPU) announced that students are officially allowed to use artificial intelligence technologies in the preparation of graduation qualifications. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Scientific Council. Thus, MGPU became the first Moscow university to legalize AI for writing diplomas.

Students, under the new rules, can use chatbots and other AI tools to obtain data and create texts. However, borrowed information must be independently analyzed and processed. The university notes that "the generated texts are good material for new ideas and analysis."

MSPU allowed the use of AI in the preparation of the WCR

MGPU emphasizes that both students and teachers are actually already using AI tools. Therefore, the legalization of such systems is necessary. At the same time, the university introduces strict rules to prevent direct write-off using AI. It is also noted that the tools for generating various information should not be perceived as an absolutely reliable data source.

To prevent plagiarism, to create texts honestly, to reasonably present conclusions, general rules for the use of AI are needed. Banning use is the easiest way, but hardly effective. If in the future our graduates still cannot avoid using this tool, it is better to learn how to use it correctly, - said the rector of the university Igor Remorenko.

According to him, MGPU actively uses artificial intelligence systems to analyze what is happening in the classroom. In particular, several dozen audiences have cameras installed that track students' behavior, emotions and facial expressions. This allows us to conclude which of the classes was the most emotional or the most boring.[1]
