The beginning of automation of software asset management was an important step for us in improving the process of managing the full software lifecycle. With the ability to consolidate our information in one place, we have greatly simplified the analysis process and improved the quality of monitoring, which in turn saves resources, helps optimize costs and improves data security.
said Natalia Tselobenok, head of the licensing department of the Lesta Games group of companies.

The Naumen Software Asset Management (Naumen SAM) solution minimizes the risks of non-compliance with license agreements due to the lack of data on the real situation with the consumption of licenses, and also provides a transparent idea of the costs of them to predict demand.

In addition to centralized accounting of software assets, the project made it possible to structure a database of copies of financial, licensed, reference documents related to software and technical support. In addition, using a single base and linking a software asset to a specific employee, workstation, department, provides information for system administrators, security, and also helps in processing requests on the first line.

Key phases of the project included adapting the Naumen SAM module to an existing Naumen Service Desk-based configuration management database, configuring integration with Microsoft SCCM, normalizing data, and training employees.

The functionality of the box solution Naumen SAM fully covered the processes of managing software assets of the Lesta Games Group of Companies without additional customization.

The project was implemented as soon as possible - only three months. Active participation from the support side allows you to quickly respond to changes in versioning and constantly expands the existing base for specific requests of the game industry. The seamless integration of the SAM module with the pre-installed Naumen Service Desk solution has increased the speed, transparency and efficiency of processes.

We have a single window for license management and software users, giving each role access to data and features according to their level of access. Due to the synergy of SAM and Service Desk solutions implemented on the low-code Naumen SMP platform, ITIL processes are automated in a single ecosystem without the need to configure integrations between systems. The decision has already increased the efficiency of the IT department of the Lesta Games Group of Companies, and also laid the foundation for improving the efficiency of the business as a whole,
noted the project manager of the Lesta Games group of companies Yana Lutskovich.
