2024: Warehouse automation in the Moscow region

Pobeda KF was able to automate its warehouse business processes, retaining the accumulated experience and specifics characteristic of the operation of the confectionery factory thanks to Axelot WMS X5. Axelot (Axelot) announced this on November 14, 2024.

The total production area of the company's two factories is 43,000 square meters. All production processes are automated, which ensures high quality of products.

In order for the level of digitalization of logistics to correspond to the level of production, Pobeda KF, together with AXELOT, implemented the introduction of AXELOT WMS at a warehouse in the Moscow region. Its area is 5,500 square meters. m., products coming from production, from suppliers and from other warehouses of the company are processed here - only 3,000 nomenclature units.

Since the warehouse was not previously automated, the key goals of the project were, first of all, to organize targeted storage, increase the transparency of product accounting, move away from paper and realize the ability to use shipping documentation to perform all operations.

The customer emphasized that the operations automated with AXELOT WMS are fully consistent with the unique and established business processes of the factory. The project team took into account all the wishes and adjusted the system in accordance with them. As a result, the following are implemented on the AXELOT side of WMS:

  1. Work center for grouping tasks. A workplace for the operator has been developed that allows you to schedule the composition and laying of each pallet in semi-automatic mode before assembling the goods, as well as prepare a list of tasks for the contractor based on the customer's requirements and/or physical properties of the goods (which cannot be digitized and turned into an algorithm).
  2. Modified acceptance process. It is possible to automatically select the receipt document when scanning the barcode of the storage place during acceptance from production, as well as automatically fill in the fact of the pallet composition according to the previously shipped storage place number after visual inspection by the storekeeper.
  3. Plan cells to accommodate a whole storage location with different accounting models. The process of planning the placement of mixed pallets into certain zones without unfolding is implemented, depending on the specified type of pallet. The ability to plan for the shipment of such a mixed pallet has also been modified.
  4. Set up summarization and article displacement. The notification of the need for an operation is generated based on the percentage of cell occupancy and is executed when the necessary resources are released.
  5. Organization of the pallet picking area on the typesetter's trolley. This made it possible to significantly save the warehouse area.

In order for AXELOT WMS to promptly receive data on planned receipt, on the composition of the pallet coming from production, the composition of orders being shipped, etc., the project team set up WMS integration with the corporate information system of the confectionery factory. As a tool for creating a single contour, AXELOT specialists used the DATAREON integration solution.

The introduction of AXELOT WMS allowed Pobeda to automate the operation of the warehouse, speed up the assembly time of pallets by 3 times and the shipping speed by almost 2 times in accordance with the specifics of business processes. Now the warehouse has become a full-fledged link in the production and logistics chain, which provides the company's customers with always fresh and high-quality products.
