Apatit JSC (formerly PhosAgro-Cherepovets), the Cherepovets chemical cluster of the PhosAgro Group, specializes in the production of phosphorus-containing mineral fertilizers, phosphoric and sulfuric acids, aluminum fluoride, ammonia, carbamide, ammonium nitrate and fertilizers based on it. The company is located in the city of Cherepovets, Vologda Oblast.

On the territory of the enterprise there is an industrial river port, which is used to transport raw materials and finished products.

History

2017

Since November 1, 2017, PhosAgro-Cherepovets JSC has changed its name to Apatit JSC.

As of September 2017, PhosAgro-Cherepovets JSC was the largest producer of phosphorus-containing fertilizers, phosphoric and sulfuric acids in Europe, as well as one of the leading producers of NPK fertilizers, ammonia and ammonium nitrate among Russian chemical industry enterprises. PhosAgro-Cherepovets was also Russia's largest exporter of phosphorus-containing fertilizers (supplies to Western Europe, Asia, America, Africa).

In 2017, PhosAgro-Cherepovets had its own generating capacities with a total volume of 134 MW and provided itself with electricity of its own generation by 80%, including due to its production when recycling waste heat in the production of sulfuric acid.

2015

Since July 1, 2015, as a result of the completion of the reorganization in the form of the accession of PhosAgro AG CJSC to PhosAgro-Cherepovets JSC, the functions of the management company for the exercise of the powers of the sole executive body in a number of PhosAgro enterprises were transferred to the latter.

2012

PhosAgro-Cherepovets JSC was established on July 1, 2012 as a result of the merger of Ammofos OJSC and Cherepovets Azot OJSC.

2011

As of January 2011, Cherepovets Joint Stock Company Ammofos operated in the chemical industry market, where it has been represented since 1974, and was one of the leaders among Russian producers of phosphorus mineral fertilizers. Ammophos production facilities made it possible to produce more than 2 million tons of products per year. The main types of fertilizers produced by the enterprise (ammophos, diammonium phosphate and diamofosca) were actively used in agriculture.

2001

In 2001, Ammofos OJSC became part of PhosAgro Group of Companies.
